Pedestrian traffic lights
Ooooh, we have a bunch of really fancy pedestrian traffic lights in Germany! I need to share:
Starting off with the difference between formerly Eastern German traffic lights (upper images) and formerly Western German traffic lights (lower images):
The city of Erfurt had some additions, like an umbrella or a heart:
Same sex love in Marburg (upper image) and Frankfurt (lower image):

Karl Marx light in Trier:
Face of Friedrich Engels in Wuppertal:
Elvis in Friedberg (Hessen):
A sparrow (for the Golden Sparrow film awards) in Gera:

I noticed something I didn't like about this post. So I'm fixing it.
NAIROBI, KENYA
I couldn't figure out why I couldn't find a still image of the green light. Wanna know why? (It's adorable.) THE GREEN LIGHT ACTUALLY WALKS. It has a full walk cycle. I found a video of it on YouTube.
LAGOS, NIGERIA
Doesn't seem to have them. Instead they have raised pedestrian bridges to go over traffic.
LUBUMBASHI, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO
Lubumbashi has us all beat, everybody. We can go home. First of all, it's another animated signal. Second of all, it's a giant robot:
STOP:
WAIT:
And then the whole top turns at the waist and you can GO:
There. Post is better now.

Welcome to the Gay & Bi Classic Hollywood Actors Bracket!
Hello everyone, this is @alovelywaytospendanevening. This blog is dedicated to a tournament bracket featuring gay and bisexual male actors from the Classic Hollywood era, which spanned from the 1920s to the mid-1960s. Through comprehensive research, I've curated 58 names to be part of it. I want to make it clear that this is not meant to be a definitive list of non-straight actors from the period — such a thing would be virtually impossible to create, not only because of the extremely secretive way this subject was handled but also because of the sheer number of names it would feature. I’m well aware that opinions diverge on which names should be included in this type of categorization.
A new batch of polls will be posted every Wednesday until the finals.
This is intended to be a fun and light-hearted thing, so please don't take it too seriously. At most, I hope to bring some visibility to lesser-known and underappreciated names from the past. Enjoy the ride! 😄
Round 3 polls:
Richard Chamberlain vs Jeremy Brett
Alec Guinness vs Cary Grant
Anthony Perkins vs Sal Mineo
Rock Hudson vs Roddy McDowall
Laurence Harvey vs Vincent Price
Farley Granger vs Randolph Scott
George Takei vs Tab Hunter
Cesar Romero vs James Dean
