they create a character that undermines lexa at every turn and the blarkes latch onto that character as being the “good grounder”, and the writers fucking feed that shit by retconning everything about lexa. way to go at devaluing and delegitimizing the lesbian representation even after you killed her. i’m actually impressed at how far you’ll go to destroy lexa @the100writers

The Catch just killed off a bisexual WOC after she slept with a woman. She was killed by her male love interest (he shot her, not a surprise).

The writer and co-executive producer of The Catch, Sherry White, signed the Lexa pledge less than a week ago. What does that tell you? @lgbtfans wanna help us out?

I know the internet is a place where lots of rumors run around like wildfire, especially as of lately, so I wanted to put this here first:

I just wanted to let all of you know that I have decided not to return to The 100 for season four. This officially marks the end of a very wild and emotional journey as a staff member on one of my favorite shows. Before anyone jumps to conclusions on either end, I want to make it very clear that this was a really, really hard choice that I made for myself. Some other opportunities came up, that I will be very happy to tell you all about in the near future when I’m able to. It seemed like the smartest move for my career. I will still be working in television. It’s hopefully where I’ll be working for the rest of my life and I am so eternally grateful for the foundation that The 100 has given me to do that, for the writers that welcomed me into their family,for the chance Jason took on me , and for the cast members who took me in and continue to be some of my best, most supportive friends and allies.

But the only reason I’m making this kind of weird post at all is for you guys. Some of you have been with me on this journey since we were watching the first four episodes, since I was just a fan at comic con feeling my life change three years ago. The 100 has one of the most passionate fan bases I’ve seen in my many years in fandom. You have all been supportive, challenged me, pushed me to be better, and had my back all at once. I am grateful every day to wake up and be able to open my phone or my computer and find thousands of people here from across the world to share my life with and share this show with. I hope I can still do that. I hope we can still share this internet place and share so many more shows in the future. But if not, and this marks the end of our time together, or even if it doesn’t – thank you. Thank you for being the rambunctious, powerful, passionate, generous, intelligent, and talented collection of people that you are. 

Wherever your TV journey takes you and wherever mine takes me, it has been a true blessing and honor to be a part of The 100 fandom and The 100 family. This show has been a huge part of my life since the first season and will continue to be. 

May We Meet Again.

Ok fine I admit it. I am a grown ass adult well traveled professional with a full life, friends, fulfilling relationship, living in a neighborhood that is graced periodically by visits from a gourmet taco truck…

…and yet every time I see an image or gif of Lexa part of me still gets legit sad.

That was the most epic romance ever. Of any orientation. In any media I have viewed / read / experienced in my life. And I studied lit & media for 12 years.

I was living in this beautiful world of seeing my love reflected perfectly onscreen and suddenly had it ripped away with zero warning - with reassurance of the opposite, in fact. What kind of sadistic fuck would do that to people?

I don’t think I will ever get over what that felt like. And yeah this movement is about the bigger picture of getting better media rep so shit like this never happens again. But there will now always be a time before 307 and the time that came after.

But goddamnit just the basic fact of losing Lexa as a character and Clarke x Lexa as couple - aside from the whole wider context - still hurts me at a shockingly deep level.

Bonus: the one thing she doesn’t do? Yell at Clarke and blame her for any of this shit happening. 

In fact, what she does is meet her with understanding instead and tells Clarke that she appreciates her intentions and re-affirms her goodness as a person. All while drawing a definitive boundary between them and asking Clarke like an adult to respect her and that line. 

The thing I miss the most about their relationship is that they talked shit out like adults. Clarke needs more understanding and fewer people acting like children around her,  instead of Clarke being the only adult in the room all the damn time.

Everyone else needs to get on Lexa’s level.

it annoys me so much when people try to defend bellboos’s actions comparing it to clarke’s on MW. there’s a big, HUGE difference between making a bad choice when ALL of your options are bad and doing something objectively bad. having to decide to kill the mountain man or let your friends be killed by them while u watch is one thing and killing 300 allies on their sleep bc u think they might be bad and might turn on u in the future bc you’re xenophobic is another, completely different thing. its wrong. there’s no way to put it. they were not the enemy. his other option was simply not to murder in cold blood peaceful people that were protecting them while they slept. so no its not the same. it doesn’t make his character ‘grey’, it makes him bad. period. at ppl not seeing this, and that includes @the100writers who wrote this mess, get a fucking grip.
