There was a saying that when you sneezed, it meant someone was talking about you.  Just a dumb superstition, of course... but if it were true, then man, someone must've been talking about you a lot.

And probably none of it was good.

A look of surprise sweeps across his normally expressionless face for a moment, before A-ya tries his best to turn it back to a normal one.

"… B-ko… where ever did you hear such an idiotic statement?  On second thought— on second thought, maybe I don’t want to know."

A look of disappointment replaced her cheerful appearance. “…That’s too bad.” She tsk-ed.

No matter how you looked at it, this was odd.

It wouldn't really be unusual if it were just to the ice cream parlor, or the bookstore, or anywhere else the two could usually be found together around their neighborhood... but, a restaurant like that?

It seemed to be, perhaps somewhat high-class, though A-ya didn't particularly have a good read on such things. To be honest, he could go to such a place in a hoodie and not care. Figuring out how to dress or how to act accordingly in such a place wasn't the boy's top priority at that moment, however.

Ahh--! The boy sighed as he fell back on his bed. This all seemed like... a hassle, if he were honest; but C-ta hadn't allowed him any time to protest over the phone earlier. Soon he'd arrive at A-ya's doorstep to pick him up, any moment now, the boy realized, glancing at the time on his phone... And still, none of his questions were answered.

“‘Murder mysteries’?  There… haven’t been any deaths, though.”  Yet.  Oh boy, A-ya, you didn’t even know the half of it.

He fixated his eyes down at the brown-haired character — hm.  That certainly didn’t look like the uniform of any of the schools nearby… not really much like a uniform at all, in fact.  But did A-ya care to inquire for this person’s identity?  No… no… alright, maybe.

"… Who are you?"

Chihiro Fujisaki. I’m familiar with your boyfriend C-ta.

ahhh you bring up a good point for sure...  I'm even procrastinating on all my HW at this very moment.......... the world of roleplay is just too exciting..... (dismayed a-ya face)

as it so happens, the impostoradvisory url wasn't taken so it feels like it's fate (pffftt)  but I definitely should wait and see if I can actually juggle 3 muses..... plus, d-ne's chapter (in the manga) hasn't been scanlated yet either, for icon purposes and such

Admittedly, C-ta already knew why his friend was so tired. A-ya had been up all night reading horror stories; something that was typical for an occult addict like himself. C-ta had tried to stay up, waiting for A-ya to simply fall asleep at the computer. Though…it was he that had passed out some time in the middle of instead while A-ya had prevailed at not getting a single wink.

"How careless…" he kicked himself mentally for that.

Never turning away from A-ya, he kept that stupid little smile on his face as A-ya let all the bones in his body pop before standing up. They stepped towards the open door when C-ta heard his friend’s voice once again.

Happy about something? Well, of course he was happy! A-ya was one of the only ways to get him to smile a real, genuine smile. Not just one of those smiles meant to please people.

"Well, I’m happy to see you, A-ya!" he chirped. "Why would I not be?"

Yeah, you really were happy to see your dear, childhood friend. And maybe you needed to turn down the gay just a little bit.

"... Although we've seen each other every day this week," the boy mumbled, and completely resigned to his friend's cheerful disposition. And -- practically -- every day of our whole lives.

Such a simple statement; A-ya hardly gave it any thought. Happy to see him... well, he supposed he could return that sentiment a little. But they'd practically seen each other every day since they were little kids. One day this would have to get old.

Old... yeah, it was old. This classroom, that voice. The walk on the way home.  Whatever it was about him or any of this that made C-ta so happy was completely and utterly lost on him.

"... Do you feel like going to the old building today?" A-ya finally asked, after a bit of walking and silence.  "Or just go home like you said..."  The boy gave a little shrug.  True he was really tired, but the prospect of getting to talk about urban legends or maybe finding something interesting in that old school building was one that he'd definitely stay awake for.

Though -- and he yawned again -- he supposed he didn't quite have any objections to just crashing on C-ta's couch, either.
