my opinion on;

character in general: i already talked a good bit about abby and why i adore her, but i can totally talk about her some more. one of my favorite traits of abby’s is that she is incredibly present. yes, she does have regrets about what has past and worries about what will come, but more than anything she concentrates on what is needed in that moment, which allows her to do what she thinks is necessary despite her regrets, or her previous feelings toward someone, be they positive or negative. ( for instance, marcus vs. jaha -- she doesn’t hold marcus’ past actions against him, nor does she let her respect for jaha get in the way of holding command. )how they play them: one of the things i noticed straight away when we started writing together is how well i can hear abby’s voice in every reply ! i actually don’t think i realized that i didn’t have abby’s voice in my head until the first reply i ever got, and she actually only had one line of dialogue in the whole post, but i remember as soon as i read it, i immediately was like ‘hey that’s abby’ and i think that’s really coolthe mun: !!!!!! i have had so much fun talking with them about sad things and how cece would have fit into canon !!!!!! super easy to start talking to, and major bonus points bc we apparently have all the same threading needs. also, as a side note, charles and i always say ‘abbyquail’ because of the q’s in the url, so that url is now one of my favorites bc i really love saying abbyquail

my opinion on;

character in general: marcus kane is my actual heart. the actual truth of the matter is that i watched lost for the first time not too long ago, so when i finally decided to sit down and watch the 100, i was super excited to see henry ian cusick and was entirely certain that i would adore his character. then i realized that no, i did not, and i was far more attached to abby ( and therefore doubly frustrated by kane’s attempts to work in opposition to her. and also kill her. ) but !!! the fact that he has changed and grown throughout the series has made me root for him that much harder, because his regrets and his willingness to change are all things that make him very human. definitely in my top 3 favoriteshow they play them: i might gush a little because i absolutely adore this version of marcus. he has gone through so many changes throughout the series, and i cannot get over how well he is written at any stage. from the voice to the body language, he is absolutely spot on, but my favorite thing is getting that glimpse into his head – thoughts and feelings that just add so much to the character, including things i would never have even thought about that hit so unexpectedly on the mark that afterward it seems like it should have been obvious, because it’s so clearly part of the characterthe mun: we haven’t ever actually spoken but i’m always happy to see them on my dash and i’ve gotten several giggles out of their ooc posts. i hope that i do get the chance to talk with them someday ( even if it’s just so i can fawn over the gift that is marcus kane )

rp with them: yes, a little bit !!want to rp with them: oh absolutelyship their character with mine: this is a subject i definitely want to discuss with people ( so y’all should hit me up okay ) because, had callie stayed in the show, it would have been really interesting to see their dynamic unfold. clearly they had a connection at one point, and the fact that she appeals to kane’s regard for her rather than aiming for his sense of justice or duty when she is pleading for abby’s life means that there was a time when her happiness was important enough to him to contend with, maybe even overpower, his adherence to the law – or at least she had believed so, and believed it strongly enough to think that it might still be the case. i don’t know what their dynamic would be like, moving forward from that point, or why they never worked out to begin with, but it’s definitely an aspect i want to explore, especially since it’s pretty much the only other connection she is given outside of her affection and loyalty to abby

overall opinion: i went a little overboard on this post probably bc marcus is one of my favorites and i don’t get to talk about him nearly enough, but this blog makes me so happy because it is always so exciting to see a character i love played with such care and detail and also i got bribed with a 20 so how could i resist?

my opinion on;

character in general: i have liked abby 100% of the time throughout the series to date. i always appreciate seeing the struggle of justice as law and justice as morality, and so seeing the struggle between abby and marcus for the first half of the series is one of my favorite things, as well as seeing how they both have their beliefs tested over time. i admire her for both her bravery and her kindnesshow they play them: !!! this was the first abby blog i ever found on tumblr, and i was so excited to see how well written she is !! she cares so much about abby’s character, and one of my favorite things about this blog is that she doesn’t favor just one of abby’s traits. she’s nurturing, but she also takes no shit, and i feel like it’s hard to write a character who’s soft and stern all at once, so definite kudosthe mun: we only just recently started talking to one another because i’m a nervous bum but i’m so glad we did because taylor is such an enthusiastic and friendly person, and honestly so much fun to talk to

my opinion on;

character in general: clarke is such an interesting character to me for so many reasons. i love that she’s strong willed and clever but still allowed to cry to her parents, and i love that she tries her best to do what’s right and sometimes it works and other times she makes the wrong decisions and everything goes to shit, because good people can make bad decisions. on top of that, the fact that she is influenced by the people she respects (sometimes for the better, sometimes not) is amazing, because she’s young and heaped with responsibility, and i think the fact that she can be both strong and impressionable is something we rarely get to see in a characterhow they play them: i follow iisms on any blog i can get my hands on. she approaches every muse with so much confidence, and i love seeing the voice she lends to each different muse. i always look forward to seeing iisms’ interpretations of a characterthe mun: iisms is one of the sweetest people i’ve ever talked to ooc, and even though we hardly happen to be online at the same time, any time we do get to chat for a bit, she greets me as if we talk all the time and it just makes it so much easier to start talking again, even if it’s been a while

character in general: john murphy has grown on me immensely over time; when i first watched the series, i didn’t get particularly attached until sometime in season two. ‘in a non criminal way’ was pretty much the end of me, and i have adored him ever sincehow they play them: i love the way charles writes every character, so this pretty much doesn’t need to be said, but he writes brilliantly, and i’m forever enamored with every character he writesthe mun: charles is the person i’m going to marry, so i’m definitely biased, but there is no one i feel happier around, and no one i can talk to more freely. i can genuinely tell him anything, and he has helped me to develop so many muses over time, and i’m so thankful for him
