Wanted to exercise, ended up drawing Bitty….

bitty breaking down in tears, yelling at coach saying “tell me i’m not messed up” is something that hits so close to home.

while everybody has moments where they want their parents to understand them, queer children experience this at another level. we grow up thinking out parents love is unconditional to find out, that something like being queer, would break that love.

bitty here in this chapter is breaking down, literally on his last thread, begging his dad to tell him that he’s okay, that he’s normal.

because being queer is normal, and i think bitty knows this now, and he wants his dad to see that too; to see that in him
