Hey friends, I know it’s been a long time since I posted anything here, but I just want to bring this gofundme to your attention.
Continuing in the tradition established in Untold Stories from Iraq and Afghanistan, writer Valerie Finnigan - also known for her work on Korean War vol. 2 and Tiger on the Storm - is developing another military comicbook series to benefit veterans' charities. The Real Women of the US Militarychronicles the adventures and misadventures of women from the Revolution to today's infantry.
The WASP, the first book in the series, focuses on the pioneering aviatrixes of the Women Airforce Service Pilots and all they accomplished during World War Two.
The books will feature the art of Monami Kun, herself a US Army veteran, and proceeds from book sales will go to Arts in the Armed Forces and the Women Veteran Social Justice Network.
All funds raised here will help defray the cost of producing and printing the books.
