Just because someone doesn’t mourn on social media doesn’t mean that they aren’t mourning, not making a post on social media addressing the Orlando shooting doesn’t mean someone is homophobic, Nicki has shown that she supports the LGBT+ community on multiple occasions, and I rather her not mourn publicly than for her to be one of those fake ass people that were just tweeting slurs and protesting against gay marriages and complaining about transpersons using the same restroom as them, and all that other shit. There are so many celebrities that haven’t said shit, so don’t just try and come for Nicki. However, you know who else hasn’t said shit, but has the time to lead a campaign against Hollywood life? Justin Bieber. If you going to drag Nicki you better drag his ass too.
Except, Justin Bieber’s main demographic isn’t LGBT people while Nicki Minaj’s is. Except, Justin Beiber has never claimed to be an LGBT ally while NIck Minaj has. The whole “mourning” thing makes no damn sense when she jumped at the chance to “mourn” and use the deaths of Trayvon Martin, Tamir Rice, and other black people murdered by police in order to push herself and her brand. Are you implying the Orlando massacre was more serious than the deaths of murdered black people and that’s why she stayed silent? The Orlando massacre was too much and she had to mourn in private? No, that’s bullshit, all of those things are massive tragedies. Nicki’s fine saying she loves the gays when it pads her wallet, but will stay silent when the gay community needs her and her platform the most.
And oh, Nicki Minaj isn’t homophobic because she completely ignored the Orlando massacre and slapped her LGBT fans in the face, she’s homophobic because of her past homophobic actions and lyrics and her liking of a tweet that referred to a gay man as a “dickeater” as an insult.
