& A Dance Unbroken
推 Tui ☯ 拉 La
◎◉ “ Tui– ” Tui registers her partner’s call, and considers his question. She closes her eyes and opens her mind, sending tendrils of energy to the ends of her being–testing the waters, so to speak.
Everything seems fine, until Tui notices a new presence dwelling within her being. She recognizes this feeling–one of a spirit closely connected to the Spirit World.
…Could it be? Tui continues gently investigating the presence, rousing it from its seemingly slumbered state. Upon waking, the presence seems to materialize into sight, emitting a faint blueish glow from its form. A small gasp escapes Tui’s lips.
“ Dear Child of Earth and Moon… ” Tui trails off. The form merely smiles warmly back, giving a small nod.
Collecting her thoughts, Tui finally responds to her partner.
“ My energy seems to be fine, if somewhat altered in essence… ”
& A Dance Unbroken
拉 La ☯ 推 Tui
◎◉ He dares not relive the memories. Hundreds of thousands of years of existence could not live up to the rage in his soul in that moment.
He dares not disrupt the seas any more this evening.
“ Perhaps even Mortals have something to teach us. ” The words are light, and chuckles ripple out from around him just briefly. The motions hardly noticeable as he continues to swirl about his partner. Although the words are a double edged sword, he holds onto the peaceful connotations instead. No matter how turbulent the waves become, he understands, there is calm on the horizon.
“ What does she tell you? ” He knows the Child is with them now. Although the initial arrangement was different those years ago, Fate brought this Child to them. And Fate never leaves loose ends.
((Apologies for a much belated reply, my friend. I hope we may continue this RP? (’: ))
推 Tui ☯ 拉 La
◎◉ Tui chuckles lightly at La’s comment. Indeed, Mortals may have just taught them an important lesson, if not by rather tragic means. At La’s inquiry, Tui looks again to the glowing form.
“ Were you able to hear him, Child? ” Tui asks the form.
A nod in response, the faint smile unwavering. Tui pauses a moment. She has so many questions, but also does not wish to overwhelm the Child. She was but a Mortal just moments ago, after all.
“ Dear Child of Earth and Moon, and former Princess of the Northern Watertribe, Yue... I...well, and Tui as well, I presume, have so many questions for you. However, I do not wish to overwhelm you, so I would like to ask you--how would you most prefer to have this conversation? ” Tui waits with baited breath. Nothing like this has happened in all her many moons of existence.
Yue gazes off into the distance, smile faltering somewhat, as if deep in thought. Her gaze comes back to Tui, and the gentle, tinkling voice Tui remembers as belonging to the Princess resounds within her mind.
“ Oh Spirit of the Moon, my sincerest and humblest salutations to you. I would love to answer whatever questions you and the Spirit of the Ocean may have, ” Yue replies. Tui nods in gratitude.
Yue continues, “ As to how we may best conduct this conversation, I am a bit unsure. Is the Spirit of the Ocean unable to hear me speak? While I have my suspicions as to how our current situation now stands, I would just like to make sure. ”
A thought flows into Tui’s mind--Yue’s thought, Tui realizes. As she comes to understand the thought Yue is having, Tui begins to comprehend the situation they may now be in. The Moon Spirit feels, admittedly, a bit troubled as the puzzle pieces begin to fit together in her mind.
Tui glances over to the black form of her partner, looking for any sign of comprehension regarding the conversation that just unfolded between herself and Yue.
