#god I feel sick. got me spiraling too #forgot to mention he died as a parody of himself that the writers of later seasons made of him #I used to not have an opinion on this man while following the show for almost 6 years #he was just a part of it. not what got me in or kept me in. not the reason I watched. a month ago I wouldn’t’ve marked him as my fave #I literally used to not care. so I didn’t have a strong reaction to his death scene. watched the finale like “wow it sucked. anyway”#but it caught up to me days later when I saw pictures of him and kinda remembered “oh he’s dead btw”#now I’m haunted by his bloodied face burned on the inside of my eyelids and I can still hear his pleas as I lie awake at night #I can’t believe it’s over. WHY DID YOU SAW THE CAKE?

I WASN’T THINKING CLEARLY. I DIDN’T MEAN TO SAW THE CAKE!

…Why are we shouting? This is such a stupid thing to be shouting about. Even Jim didn’t shout after that. Just stared. They all just stared and then asked why would I do that and I said I didn’t know and maybe I could cut it into tenths now and then Jimmy said he didn’t want cake anymore anyway and left, so I was going to cut it into four pieces but I’d already started cutting it into tenths so they were very messy pieces, and I don’t like the cake on the best of days and that day I was already feeling terrible, so I stared at my squished up fourth of that godawful cake until Swansea said he’d have it if I wasn’t going to eat it (having half the cake is against Pony Express guidelines but considering the circumstances I don’t think he cared). So I gave Swansea the cake and then Daisuke got sad because he was going to ask for my cake, so once Anya and Swansea left (after Anya told Swansea to tell her first if he felt sick from the cake), I snuck him a couple sweetener packets. Least I could do after how shitty and pointless everything had become.

God, that party was terrible.

People who say that Curly is a morally grey character don't know what "morally grey" means or just didn't play the game. A morally grey character is one who's *convictions* are neither good nor bad, and instead they are led by their abmitions for example, or, I don't know, they believe that the end justifies the means, or that murder is okay sometimes. It's about their *ideals*.

Curly is MORALLY GOOD. We never see anything that would suggest that his inaction about Anya's assault is due to, say, wanting to uphold his own reputation as captain. We only see that he genuinely cares about the wellbeing of his crew, that he worries about his friend Jimmy, who also emotionally and later physically abuses Curly. The way he handles both Jimmy's actions and managing the crew in general is lead by good morals, even if Curly fails to prevent the ship from crashing. His motivation is always to do right by people around him.

Curly is not a perfect human being, no one is.

He is definitely NOT morally grey.
