bring me to life || angeline + griffin

Griffin had just put Hope down when she started whining again. “Oh my god…” he groaned, glancing over at her. He waited, seeing if she would calm down by herself, and after a few moments, she was sound asleep. He let out a sigh of relief and then laid back on the couch. He drifted off for who even knows how long before he heard someone come inside. “What?” he grumpled, trying to see where the sound was coming from. He sat up completely and looked at the back door before turning to look ahead of him. That’s when Angeline spoke and he jumped. “Wha—What the fuck? How are you here?” he questioned, blinking a few times, reaching up to wipe his eyes in disbelief. “Am I still asleep?” he asked. He then got up and walked over to her, reaching out to just hesitantly poke her in the arm to see if she’d disappear or what would happen. “How?” he questioned, still unsure if she was real or not. “I need a fucking cigarette.” he said, “Angeline, how are you alive right now?” he asked. It still hadn’t hit him yet…the fact that she was standing in front of him, in the flesh, living and breathing after being found dead. Griffin stood back, still examining her from head to toe with his eyes in confusion.
As was predictable, Griffin’s reaction to her bordered on hilarious. She didn’t dare laugh, though. Just watching him carefully and letting him make his way over to her in his own time. The touch to her arm had her eyebrow raising, but she still stayed silent for just a moment. “I don’t know, honestly.” She finally said, pulling the morgue sheet even tighter around her. “I remember-...” Her eyes closed for a moment and she took a shaky breath. “It.. It killed me. In the bathtub. It stabbed me and I was drowning in the silver and- Griffin, fuck.” She stepped forward and let her head rest against his chest, a weird itching feeling in her gums unsettling her even more. “I’m just.. Glad you and Hope are safe. I was so scared for you both.”
