“If you weren’t carrying my favorite tiny human, I have a feeling we’d be wrestling quite frequently. We wouldn’t even need eye shadow because we’d have constant black eyes,” she snickered, though she knew the chances of every laying a hand on her friend - pregnant or not- was pretty much slim to none. Don’t get it twisted, the girl may be small, but she could fight and take care of herself, though she knew she’d never have to with Regina since they shared a sense of sisterhood that was rather hard to come by on a day-to-day basis. “Of course it is. It’s the only human I know who is shorter than me. Therefore they’re my favorite by default.” Once the kiss was blown, she threw her hand up in the air to catch it. “Man, I haven’t been kissed in a while. I’m going to save this and cherish it, only to be used on one of those dark and lonely nights when I’m feeling a little frisky,” she winked, sliding her hand over her sides in a somewhat sexy fashion before acting like she was stuffing something into her back pocket. “Ah well, you know I only say it how I see it. But I don’t need you opening up the damned flood gates and flooding the flat, so I’ll try to keep my compliments to a minimum. Though I must warn you - I make no promises,” the brunette said, holding her hands up in mock surrender. “You think a restraining order is going to stop me? Oh love. That’s adorable. You know how stubborn I can get when I want something. I can get locked up and I’ll find a way to escape and see that child. I can promise you that.” A warm smile spread over her features while Regina spoke about how the baby was kicking and how the parents were already in love with the bundle of joy that would make its grand debut before they knew it. The girl deserved this happiness and she was glad that her friend was being blessed with something good for once. “I still have yet to feel the kick. How’s it feel from the inside? Does it hurt as much as people put on?” When the conversation turned back to her, she sighed, and just nodded her head. Although the split was mutual, Reese still wished that there was a way that it could have gone differently, but everything happened for a reason, and although at this time they couldn’t love one another as a couple at least they could love one another as friends. She simply shrugged her shoulders, not really wanting to talk much about it, given the fact that she was finally in the mindset to try and move on and not let her heart yearn for something that she wanted but could no longer have. At her statement, she smirked, and nodded a bit. “You’re right. I’m just going to do me for a while. Maybe even forever, but that’s neither here nor there,” she stated, waving her hand dismissively. “I’ll dust myself off, move on, and hold my head up high. Always have. Have to anyway. If I don’t look up, I’ll never see anything,” she laughed.
“We can still wrestle if you want little lady, bring it on i’m ready for you. I have a load of additional pounds on my side.” She cackled, although a sick feeling rippled through her stomach since holding the extra weight wasn’t something she was pleased she was holding, but said nothing just running her hand over her stomach gently. “I’ll give you a black eye now bitch.” The fighting talk was purely banter though, Regina didn’t have a very good relationship to any of her blood family so Reese was as close to having a sister as she had anymore, she loved her like one, so she wasn’t going to inflict any pain on her if she could help it. She hoped the smaller woman knew that despite what she said pretty much every time she opened her mouth. Although the next words from Reese did make her laugh, properly belly laugh, but there was a hint of the truth in it, she was pretty small and the baby was smaller than her at least. It made Regina’s eyes water slightly it was so funny, her hand going to the corner of them to wipe it away a little. “Jesus fucking piss sticks that was awesome, awesome and so very true. The baby will be smaller than you for at least….well a month…so enjoy it while it lasts right?” Her tongue came out of the corner of her mouth as she wiggled it around a little, finding the whole situation very amusing. In fact it was relaxing her a little bit, being able to let her hair down and just breath for a second, she wasn’t thinking about her weight in that moment, or having to give birth, or how she had no job, she was just focusing on how funny she was finding everything going on in their conversation right now. “Oh baby, you want to be kissed like that again? You know i’ll make out with you anytime you need to let off some steam, Declan wouldn’t mind, he knows I only really have eyes for him and i’ll be just helping you out.” She flashed her a deft wink, blowing more kisses across the table. It truly was surprising that the two of them had never done anything physical at all, just because they both loved having a good time so much, Regina normally ended up at least making out with all her friends at some point. At least when she’d been a little more wild that is. Maybe it would come back again in a couple of months. “It hurts like a fucking bitch, If I didn’t love this kid I’d be punching it back overtime it kicked. It used to be a flutter but now it’s full on, mostly at night which Dec thinks is cute and funny. I just think it’s an abuse of power.” The smirk on her lips told anouther story but that was neither here nor there. “Next time it kicks i’ll let you know, you can feel it. You’ll feel how strong it is against your hand, imagine that was your ribs.” Eyebrows raised she nodded approvingly at the statement about moving on, it was a grown up way to look at it and although she’d never say it out loud before Regina wasn’t the ‘mother’ of her friends she was incredibly proud. It was a girl after her own heart who could see that dusting herself off would be the best way to deal, not harping after something that wasn’t coming back. “Good girl, you fuckin’ show him and all that empowering shit.."
