That's... good. It's just that stress makes people do things. But yeah... good.

But if they can’t see that by now, I’ll always be fighting the same battle. They should know that I’m not here to hurt them, especially now.

I'm sure the more you actually help, the more they will trust you. I wouldn't have trusted you if it hadn't been for how bad in shape I had been. I know better than anyone it takes time to trust someone, especially someone like you. They'll come around.

Shake It Up || Eden and Addie

Eden seemed to calm under the praise. He was aware that sometimes he resembled more of an obedient animal more than a human being, calming under soothing words and gentle pets. He swallowed thickly and nodded, taking off his ring for the first time… ever, and sliding it into the pocket of his jeans. “W-What now?” He whispered, biting his lip.

Addie never saw him as an obedient animal. To her, Eden resembled more of a shy child. Someone who could get nervous easily, but someone who would listen to the big adults who knew more. She saw Eden's own thoughts behind his actions, especially whenever he drew or whenever they read. These were things he enjoyed, he didn't just do whatever was told of him all the time. She watched him pocket his ring and she started towards the street that would get them in the direction of the beach. "Now, we walk. We'll get there soon. The beach isn't too far away." Addie had made it her goal to know the city of Sterling just in case.

Bad Intentions || Josephine and Addie

It only took a short walk until the brunette reached the tall building of the Argent Towers, its construction probably stunning her if she had a thing for architecture. She kept her head down, only passing very few people on her way, yet when she stood in front of the hotel she didn’t enter. Not yet, not while she had sensed someone following her the entire time. An annoyance she was determined to shake off and under different circumstances she would have shaken them off. But she really wasn’t in the mood to run these days. “You are a lousy stalker.“ she huffed before looking over her shoulder, waiting for her follower to reveal themselves.

She must not have been as skilled at tracking someone without them noticing as she thought she was. Maybe she was growing rusty? Or maybe Josephine was just that good. It could be a combination of both even. Whatever the cause was, Addie got caught. Sighing mentally, she stepped from the shadows revealing herself. Giving the other Slave a swift nod, Addie tilted her head. "I was that bad, huh?" She asked, not really sure what to say instead. She hadn't spoken to Josephine that much, instead she had just seen the other Slave around the House sometimes. Addie expected a sharp reply full of sarcasm, and she would only give the same back.

Day 29

Would they be more likely to act for the good of one or the good of many?

Addie would be more likely to act for the good of one. She has distanced herself from most, except for a few. Because of this, she would be more likely to act for the good of that one person instead of the good of many where she has no motivation towards.  

Are they manipulative?

Addie can be very manipulative if she wants. The most common thing she does to manipulate others is she acts like a horrible person, a bitch, she acts rude and she acts like she is no good. This usually lets people only see that one side so that they do not want to get close. However if she wanted, she could pull other cards as well. Usually if Addie is manipulative, she's only that in certain situations. 

Choose a holiday and come up with a potential scenario involving your character and that holiday.

Christmas - Addie has only had a real Christmas once. But she is like a child towards the holiday where she's amazed and in awe of everything, of all the lights, and the music and the atmosphere. For one Christmas, Addie would have a real one, and decorate a full Christmas tree, and make gingerbread men, and do every cliche Christmas thing and it would be like it was the first time she did any of that. This would cause a child like wonder in her and she would resort back to that state of mind. It would probably be best with someone who has become bitter towards the holiday so that they could see it in a new light through her awe.

Day 28

Do they value faith over reason or vice versa?

Reason over faith.

Do they believe in an afterlife?

Addie does not believe in an afterlife of any kind. 

Do they have any habits that reflect their beliefs? (Ex. regular prayer, vegetarianism, etc.)

The habits that Addie has that reflect her beliefs are the fact that she is big on survival and being able to take care of herself. This reflects her belief that everyone has to look out for themselves because no higher being will do it.

Do they respect the beliefs of others?

To an extent. If someone is preaching to Addie and trying to change her she will not. But everyone else can believe what they want and Addie won't care.

Day 27

Do they believe that a person can redeem themselves from mistakes of the past

It depends on the person and the act. Addie sees no hope in herself so she does not believe that she can ever redeem herself and turn into a good person. But others? Most people she doesn't see hope in either since she is a cynical person. But the few people she sees good in she could believe that. 

What scares them?

Addie is scared of being abandoned. It's why she builds up walls so that no one can get close and then let her down. 

How do they feel about death? Have they been significantly affected by it?

Addie sees death as just an end. She killed someone so she realized just how easily life could be taken away. She also sees it as giving up, and her stubborn nature would stop her from ever giving in like that.

Day 26

Do the ends justify the means in their eyes?

Yes they do. 

Are they a leader or a follower? Why?

Addie is a little of both and also a little of neither. Addie doesn't like to be told what to do, but at the same time she doesn't like giving orders. She likes to be by herself more often than not. 

What do they feel responsible for? (Ex. I owe it to the world to do this.)

Addie feels responsible for others, even though she won't really admit it and she thinks she will do them no good. Growing up, she feel deeply responsible for her mother and now she feels responsible for those she cares about.

Day 25

What is one thing they feel strongly about?

Addie feels strongly about freedom and being left to one's own devices and doing what one wants to do. In her current situation this is a very hard thing to actually experience. 

One trait they admire?

One trait that Addie admires in others is honesty and a sense of kindness to them, even if it is buried deep. 

What disturbs them?

Something that disturbs Addie is unreasonable cruelty and a sense of being better than someone else. She has issues with authoritative figures too.

Day 24

What is one thing in their past they’re ashamed of? One thing they’re proud of?

Addie is very ashamed of her behavior towards others. She doesn't like that she pushes others away. One thing Addie is proud of is that she is very loyal to certain people and would do anything for them. 

Describe one fight they’ve had in the past (physical or otherwise).

One of the biggest fights Addie has ever been in was the fight that drove her from Chicago. It was the one that she had the knife pull on her mother and her, it was the fight that Addie lost control and became so angry, it was the fight where she beat the man to death.

Day 23

Stuck in a waiting room. Which magazine do they pick up?

Addie would pick up the closet magazine and flip through it without really looking at it. Then she'd give up, throw it away and spend the rest of her time watching and studying the other people in the waiting room.

Day 22

Describe one (or more) plots you would like to do.

Addie never knew her father. She doesn't eve know who her father is, neither does her mother. She would like to do a DNA test and meet her father. Of course she would have mixed feelings about meeting him in her current situation.

Addie is always closed off and fighting for dominance in a situation. In a certain situation she needs to lose control of the situation and have someone else be in charge of her, but Addie needs to enjoy it and realize that it's not so bad.

Addie is learning the perks of reading and that it can be enjoyed. She is also getting a want to learn. Someone would come along and help her get a better education.

Day 21

Who do they want to meet?

Addie doesn't really have anyone that she really wants to meet. But if there was someone that she wanted to meet, it would be someone famous, probably a musician from one of the bands that she likes. 

What about them is heroic?

Addie would not consider anything about herself heroic. One of her better traits is her loyalty to those she cares about.  

What would the character be like in their old age?

Addie will probably be the bitter old woman who hates everyone. And then one or two people will come along and they will worm their way into her heart.

Day 20

Do they want to get married? Have kids?

Addie could not picture herself getting married, not unless something big changed and happened to her. Addie does not want kids. At all. She thinks she would be a horrible mother and she is afraid that she would only screw them up.

Would they ever consider adopting a child? Why or why not?

Addie probably would not want to adopt a child. Once again she is afraid that she will screw the child up and not be a good mother at all. She doesn't think she's good at taking care of people. 

Do they have any prominent sensory associations? (Ex. the smell of their mother’s perfume, the sound of ice cracking under their feet as a child, etc.)

The smell of the cigarettes her mother mother smoked make Addie think of being a child and hearing her mother have sex with the men who paid her.

Day 19

What are their dreams? What do they want to do someday? 

Addie isn't the most ambitious person. She really doesn't have that many things that she wants to do, since she isn't one to plan and hope for a better future. Right now she's focused on getting out of the House. 

Are there places they want to go? Where and why?

Addie would love to travel. For the short amount of time that she traveled and moved around, she enjoyed it. But she wishes that she had some money for it. She would like to go anywhere, especially anywhere outside of America.
