“I think I would be happy no matter where we are,” he smiled at her.

She didn’t think she could ever get use to someone being so sweet to her. A flush spread across her cheeks as she leaded in again to kiss him

“So are you,” he whispered back, leaning forward and pressing his lips to her forehead, her nose and then her lips before pulling back to look at her again.

L: He frowned, realizing he didn't even know when her birthday was. "When is her birthday? I don't think we've ever talked about that."

A: "April twenty sixth." She couldn't believe she had never told him

His hands slid around as he reached her hips, moving to grab her ass as he flipped them over, laying her on the bed beneath him as he hovered over her.

Addison tried to catch her breath as she looked up at him. She had no idea how anyone could be so perfect. She let herself admire him for a moment before reaching up and cupping his face. “You’re amazing.” She whispered

He smiled against her lips before she moved them to his jaw. His hands slid up her thighs slowly, higher than the thigh highs she was wearing and under her skirt.

Addison let out a small gasp as his fingers grazed her skin. Her lips hit his again, kissing him with more urgency than before.

“You are beautiful,” he told her as he contributed to press light kisses against her lips.

Addison melted at his words, kissing him fiercely.

His hands moved to her hips, lifting her gracefully to move her closer to him.

She giggled as he moved her, not use to being with someone so strong. She peppered kisses along his jaw line as she shifted. She had no idea where the night was taking them but she was excited to find out

“Come here,” he mumbled his large hand reaching for her cheek as he pulled her lips to his.

He could kiss her a million times and it would still knock the wind out of her every time. She reached up, cupping his face gently as she returned the kiss.

“There are all kinds of different families these days. And who knows, maybe by the time he’s old enough to wonder, you’ll have found someone and settled down. I mean then there’s not even really a question.” She realized how forward that had sounded just as it left her lips, red flushing across her face

“That is true. I think I’m possibly heading in that direction,” he winked at her noticing the blush on her face.

“One can only hope.”  She smirked

A: "It'll be over before you know it and you'll be home and it will all be ok I promise."

L: "I know. But it feels different this time."

A: "I know. But not too much is going to happen in six months. You aren't even gonna miss Abbey's birthday."

“He’ll always have you. And you are more than enough. You love that little boy more than anything and he’ll grow up feeling that. With as much as you love him I’m not really sure that he’s even missing out.”

“I know he will. I just know that there are going to be those questions one day. You know how kids are these days, he will realize his family is different and wonder about it. And I know that I will continue giving him the love he needs through it.”

“That’s awful. But you’ve done a fine job with Jax without her. And you love him enough for two parents.”

“I do. He’s my world. When I woke up and saw she was gone, I knew I needed to be strong for him. So I just kept going. I always wonder what it will be like when he starts to realize he doesn’t have a mom, how that conversation will go… it’s terrifying. Right now, he’s protected from that pain. In a few years, he won’t be.”

“Not your fault. Guess she didn’t love me like I thought. Didn’t love either of us. She didn’t even give herself a chance to love Jaxon. But I guess a true mom would’ve loved him before he was even born.”
