Well, congrats on not liking country music and your first roadtrip ever, Miss Hawthrone. [grins at Adeline and stays a moment like this, before he starts the car] Your made your first big mistake there, letting me choose where we go. You’ll see, by tomorrow you’ll be wishing you stayed in NYC because you’re drowning in cheesy stuff, you thought only movies had. [he laughs while trying to get on the road again, which is heavily trafficked]

That's right. Nothing too complicated for me. Simplicity works best. 

[she laughs quietly at the sight of Silas' grin and shakes her head at his words, realising that this whole trip was precisely what she needed] Look, I don't care if you take me to a sleazy looking motel or if we sleep in the car, as long as we have a good roadtrip. We have to eat burgers somewhere along the road, because that fits a roadtrip. Other than that, get as cheesy as you'd like.

Not exactly, should I be planning roadtrips for the next two years already? I just thought I am still making up for not going with you on that halloween party..

As long as you don’t excessively love country music, because that’s banned from this car since… always, your ears will be fine. [grins at her before he closes the door behind her and puts her bag on the backseat and gets into the car himself] So, have you a special place you’ve always wanted to go, but couldn’t?

Hey, you taking me on this trip is a pretty good pay back already. I'm not complaining. 

I'm not a secret big fan of country music, no. [she laughs] Hmm, no not really. I haven't given this whole roadtrip thing any thought. Actually, I never really thought I'd ever go on a roadtrip any time soon. [she pauses for a while, getting somewhat comfortable in the seat as she glances at Silas] I was planning to ask Anna to go on one with me, but we never had the time. I just want to get out of here, really.

Yes. We’re having a sample testing with Mr Hawthorne, you can come and you’ll eat as many pastries as you want then.

Don't worry, I won't touch your car toys. You have sole choice in the music we'll be listening to during this trip. [laughs] Better have some good taste. [she gets into the car and rubs her hands together, trying to get a little warmer]

What would really concern me would be if the Mayor’s wife decided to pop in.

[still sits in his car when he sees Adeline in front of the shop] I’m sorry, I basically don’t know where you live, so here is the first place to search.

[gets out of the car] Should I help you with packing in some stuff?

It's alright. Actually, no it's not, because that means I basically live at the book shop. That's quite sad.

[she holds up a big bag] This is all I got with me, it's not that bad. I could toss it in the back or in the trunk or whichever.

We're sisters. All she really has to say is that I'm out with a friend. Or friends, but I don't really have that many friends, so that'd probably set my dad off. It's not really a lie, I consider you a friend. She just... doesn't mention that it's a handsome guy friend. ... We should be fine.

Eh, I had one or two decent meals. They’ve got some nice doughnuts in North Carolina.

That’s good, although disconcerting. The more they know, the more they’re going to have to hold against us, and the more reason they have to start something.

Ah, see. Then it wasn't a completely pointless trip. You know how I get with food. 

Mhm, I agree. Sometimes I want to just pretend we're all out of books on witches and witchcraft. Most of them just seem to be fanatics though, you know, the ones that have watched witchy tv shows or movies and want to be like us. I can see the appeal of wanting to be awesome.
