”Or perhaps in Slytherin, You’ll make your real friends, Those cunning folk use any means, To achieve their ends.”
lyannaxlavette:
It was funny how the little sister was often the one acting like the older. All the time actually. “You should, you’re better than this,” Lyanna sighed. She pulled out her wand and with a swish her wrist, brought the bottle from her sister’s hand into her own. She knew it would piss Addy off but she wasn’t going to have her get wasted in the hallway and get in trouble.
Adelaide wouldn’t give her sister too much trouble--she was too put out to do anything of that sort by now. She did, however, feel words caught in her throat--something mean, something terrible. “I’m going back to bed, Lyanna.” She turned, but hoped that Lyanna would hand it back. She was too passive to fight.
hcrzlos:
“I don’t quite recall being worried,” A brow managed to arch slightly higher than the other as the young man seated himself opposite of her, “You can do as you please, as long as you don’t destroy the image you have worked for in your drunken state, I won’t make it my issue.” That, was a lesson the young fellow had learnt from his mother, drinking did not matter as long as the family honor remained. And, Felix did consider those deserving of the title, family.
Adelaide did have quite the image to uphold. The Lavette family, of French royalty and old money was nothing more than a giant show for both the French and the Brits alike. Everybody watched them, knew their names, and allowed them to do as they pleased for, Lyanna and Adelaide were women in mourning and nobody would tell them to back off. “Felix, my darling. You best think much better of me than assume that I would drink myself into a stupor before class has even started.” She knew better than that.
“oh, you’re totally right. don’t you love the way it just—” she clenched her fist in sarcastic passion, “—gets you smashed before class?”
“don’t patronize me. i already have enough shit to deal with, blondie.”
lyannaxlavette:
“Addy it is isn’t even noon yet. Vodka isn’t what you should be drinking for breakfast,” Lyanna sighed again and gave her a face that bordered on identical to their mother’s when she was exasperated and/or worried. Thankfully for Addy, Lyanna wasn’t their mother. “Is it really necessary?”
“Do I look like I care what I do with my life?” She didn’t and never had. Everything was numb and terrible and she couldn’t sleep at night and she had to drink.
sofiaxramirez:
“I’m not worried. But I am wondering whether you’ll give me a taste of that or not.”
“Do you really think I’m that kind of girl?”
patronusmusings:
“I’m not sure that’s right.” she tugged at a worn thread, already anticipating the unravelling. “Are you alright?”
“Alright? Who gives a damn about alright? Alright is boring. Dreadful, really.”
komidouglas:
“Clears the complexion, improves eye sight, brightens skin tone. It’s definitely good for you. Care to share?”
“See, normally I would share, but I am a growing girl, you see and, since it has all these health benefits, I figure I better not risk missing any nutrients.”
lyannaxlavette:
“Addy…” Lyanna sighed as she moved towards her sister, “Do you really need to be drinking right now?”
“It’s not my god damn fault that you’re lonely, Lyanna. If you don’t like my drinking, get out of my face.” Adelaide turned brashly to her sister, with a look expecting a response.
“don’t worry about me, love. morning drinking is good for my skin, or something.” it had to be good for something, right?
I want to drink, I want to smoke, I want to do every fucking drug in the world, I want to party until I can’t think anymore, I want to go numb again because clearly darling, I just don’t give a damn anymore.
