“Don’t worry, I can hear you, I’m well aware that you’re telling me this is a bad idea- I’m just saying that I’m going to go through with it anyways.” Flynn commented, looking to the other. “Things do tend to work out in my favour after all.” He lied, not that the other needed to know that.
“Things work out in your favor? Do I really need to remind you of last time?” Adeline commented, checking her nails and not even bothering to look up at Flynn. “You’re an idiot. Don’t come running to me when you end up with your pride injured. Again.”
ariasyrene:
“Innocent? Is that really how you see me?” she looked at her with slight disappointment.
“A little but I was mainly joking.” Adeline answered giving her sister a gentle nudge.
redheadedfish:
Hearing her sister’s laugh, normally would have eased Ariel however not so much this time. She couldn’t help but let the words bother her as she sighed. She knew she could act out on occasion, and that she was still living with their dad rent free… But Ari never thought she was that bad. “Yeah, you’re right… It’s stupid… I wouldn’t think twice of it…” She softly chuckled back at her sister, not wanting to show how upset she was about it.
Adeline could certainly be selfish and self-centred sometimes but she wasn’t blind or uncaring as to her siblings feelings. It was why she knew immediately that Ariel was still very upset with the situation. “Want to talk about everything?” She asked after a moment, resting a hand on the red heads knee.
hxroichxrc:
Hearing her words, he laughed a little and nodded his head. “Funny thing is that could almost be true…” He joked a bit. “My birth father is a professional weight lifter, so you could almost say it’s in my genes.”
“Really? I mean, that’s certainly something. I’m much more of a yoga person but perhaps that’s because I need relaxing often.” She did have a bit of a temper after all.
ariasyrene:
“Well that certainly makes me feel better. I just hope I’m lucky enough to be there to see it.”
“And soil your innocent mind... no, I think I’ll deal with this somewhere a little more private.” She teased.
ariasyrene:
“I mean you’re not entirely wrong there but he was really terrible. Are you just gonna leave it without punishing him at all?”
“I didn’t recall I was going to leave it did I? What I said was I like to choose my time.” Adeline answered, smiling a little.
“Please let me spit in his drink before you hand it to him,” Aria begged her sister as they were positioned on the other side of the bar from the rude customer. “He was such a jackass to you– it’s just a little saliva, not like I’m poisoning him. Pretty please?”
@adelinesyrene
“Aria... one thing you learn in life is when to pick and choose your fights. Trust me when I say that what you see as him getting away with it is only me biding my time.”
hxroichxrc:
“Oh, well, I try not to let things get to my head. Especially when it comes to things like that.” He replied, a small shrug of his shoulders joining his words. “Yeah, I’m used to the heavy weights, so I can probably carry a few more than most people.” He spoke, not intending for it to be a brag at all.
There was something extremely modest in the words that Adeline wasn’t used to. Perhaps that’s why she smiled more warmly and nodded her head. “Perhaps that is why. You do have a talent for it.”
hxroichxrc:
“Someone that looks like me…?” He questioned quietly, giving a small shrug of his shoulders. He wasn’t really sure what she meant, but he figured it was good. “I do. I’m a trainer out there. And I have a friend over there who works there and was saying that they had this big haul of food coming in, so I offered to help out.”
“You’re good looking. Someone who looks like you normally knows it and are very cocky with it.” Adeline explained. She wasn’t ashamed to admit that she was probably quite like that too. “Ah well that’s good of you to help out. I suppose you’d be used to hauling stuff like this around if your are a PT.”
hxroichxrc:
“Is that surprising for people around here?” He questioned, not quite sure if it was truly a good thing or not. Jumping off the truck, he closed the bed before pausing a little. “Um, I suppose if you’d like to help you can. I’m just carrying this food over to the vet clinic for them.”
“For some people, yes. For someone that looks like you? Definitely.” Because the good looking ones round here definitely knew it. “Don’t you work in the gym? What’re you doing carrying food to the clinic?” Adeline couldn’t help but ask.
redheadedfish:
@adelinesyrene
“Adeline… Can I ask you a personal question between sisters?” Ari sighed, pausing the show that they were binge watching. “Do you think I’m… an obnoxious mooch?” Ariel had tried tot let it go but ever since she heard it at school… it had been nonstop on her mind, making her doubt everything that made her… well, her. Funny how words could do that.
Adeline paused what she was doing, giving the girl a side glance because she wasn’t sure she liked where this was going, however when her sister spoke again, Adeline’s mouth hung open before she burst out laughing. “An obnoxious mooch?” She repeated in between laughs. “Oh, I do like that one.” She admitted, having never heard anyone use that expression before. “But... as annoying as you are... I wouldn’t go that far.”
hxroichxrc:
Her response made him laugh a bit and he nodded his head. “Um, well,” He paused a moment, rubbing the back of his neck a little. “I guess that’s a good thing. Wouldn’t want anyone to get hurt.”
“You know, you’re surprisingly reserved. It’s pretty endearing.” Adeline spoke aloud, moving so that she was out of the mans way. “Need a hand?”
Henryk had offered to help unload some stuff for one of the patrons at the gym, finally getting into a rhythm as he unloaded one bag after the other. As he turned, he noticed someone approaching and called out to warn them. “Watch out, don’t want to hit you.” He commented, dropping the bag of the back of the truck.
“I wouldn’t worry about that. I’m paying way too much attention to be hit.” Adeline couldn’t help but answer, a cheeky smile on her lips as she admired the man.
tuckerswest:
“Would it really?” Tucker chuckled. “I feel like I’d just sort of look pathetic.”
“Well I mean, it kind of depends on the type. How about you practice making it less pathetic on me?” She teased, giving him a wink.
tuckerswest:
“I can’t exactly argue there. Especially since I was that brought it up,” he replied, still chuckling to himself.
“No, you can’t argue but it would have been amusing to watch you try.” Adeline admitted with a little smile.
tuckerswest:
“I’m sorry to say this but you might not wanna get your hopes up,” Tucker began with a soft chuckle. “Gentlemen are hard to come by these days.”
“You’re hardly filling me with confidence for the male species here.” Adeline pointed out, tutting softly. “But you’re right. Most of you are pretty much dogs.”
