The woman sighed and rubbed her temples. “It’s not a bad idea.” she mumbled. 

How did Mikasa and Marco even get into this whole situation anyway? They had been dating for a short amount of time and then bam they had a baby. Jeez, you have unprotected sex once and this is what happens. She mentally facepalmed. It’s not that she didn’t love Marco, she did with all her heart. But she didn’t think they would have a babytogether this soon. 

"Sorry. Sorry" she sighed. "You know with the stress of school, work, and the baby for both of us, it’s getting a tad difficult.” she explained. “I don’t mean to take it out on you.” she apologized.

She sighed and kissed him back. ”I think I would honestly regret the decision once we got near the chosen house.” she stated. “I can’t abandon Abel either… he’s too precious. And Marco you don’t have to stop school. At least I’m getting financial aid and scholarships. Your parents are helping pay for schooling and I know you got tons of scholarships but you didn’t get as much financial aid as I did. And yes, your job is flexible but…I just don’t want you to put your future on hold just because we had a baby.” she sighed. “I know you don’t mind but is it the best option we have? Can’t we drop Abel off with your mom during the day? And then since my classes end in the early evening I could go to the store, pick up dinner, pick up Abel and be home with dinner ready by the time your job is done.” she stated with a smile. “Does that work for you?” she questioned the brunette about her plans.

"but he will be our future." He nuzzled the infant close, stroking Abel's cheek, "she's already offered to help out Mika you know that. I can watch him in the mornings before work since he rises at the crack of dawn." At this point He sat down as Abel let out a cry and sighed, "alrighty buddy...you know its almost naptime, we can't have these silly noises." He cooed, bouncing him gently smiling as he watched Mikasa.

Marco looked at mikasa holding the small sleeping bundle in his arms, "I know but... I couldn't live with myself if we just abandoned him.." He whispered before walking over to his girlfriend nuzzling her cheek lovingly.

"I can take a break from school and you know work is flexible for me...I can watch him I don't mind being a full time Daddy." The brunette laughed kissing her quickly on the lips.

Marco blinked at the girl as he leaned against the bed frame, his right side of his face completely covered in bandages and the sleeve of his shirt falling limp against the bed, “Mikasa…” he said quietly, his left hand clenching into a fist, “Like I told everyone else… I can’t remember, one minute I was trying to fix my gear…the next I woke up.”

Basically, in order to talk without shouting across the way to each other, Jean and Marco come up with the ol’ trusty cup and string trick. Even when they get phones in highshool, they still keep at it.

When college comes around, things change a lot. Jean’s parents are divorcing during the big winter holiday, and to let slip that he’d casually dated a few guys in his first semester doesn’t go down well. In aftermath, and the hope Marco’s back home too, he goes outside and waits.

All Marco can do is tell him to find somewhere safe, go to somebody he trusts and stay there. He constantly asks if Jean’s alright, if he’s in danger. Jean won’t say what happened, but he does listen and pack his bags.

Guess where he chooses to stay? (and finally confesses after crushing on Freckles for years goddamn Jeanbo)
