Unlike the neighboring nations the Vicogall embraced necromancy and eventually experienced a wholly different type of industrial revolution. Rather than tearing up the earth in search of metals and things to burn the wizards of the Vicogall resuscitated the remains of their ancestors, sought their consent, and set about constructing machines of unmatched complexity. They preserved their natural world, leaving their forests and steppes undamaged by the scourge of industry and instead turned their own deaths into the fuel for an empire. The limited resource of the dead prevented them from ruling the realm as they once had, but in time, their willingness to conserve the earth kept them more alive than their neighbors. And while they may not have had the largest or most numerous machines there is something to be said for the defensive power of fear upon seeing an automaton of flesh and bone bearing down from the high hills. They also, as a result of their undead nature contained an implicit level of independent intelligence that their foes made of metal lacked. It may no longer have been their golden era, but the Vicogall nonetheless continued to leave their mark on the world, patient and devoted, both in life, and in death, ready and willing to forestall the bliss of afterlife if it meant the continuation of the way of life that had allowed them to live so peacefully.

10,000 FOLLOWERS

This is it! We made it! I really cannot believe it at all. Two years of daily poetry, blogging on multiple platforms, and now 10,000 followers on the first blog of it all. Thank you so, so much for making this happen, throughout all the fluctuations.

This milestone can only be deserving of a giveaway. So, here’s what I’ll be doing:
