A work in progress world, Hur (the Wheel) of the Spire. Beyond being a simple hobby and release, it's also an experiment in delving into generic fantasy races and making them still recognizable, but different in specific ways that makes their society interesting for me personally to explore.
Elves that although live longer than humans, are descended from them through a forest spirit-human relationship. Dwarves that live in mountains because they are in love with the stars and want to get closer to them.
Humans are often differentiated in fantasy through some notion of adaptability or having lots of kids. Trying something different, the Wheel has humans that are identified by their imagination and desire to see what's beyond the horizon, they make great sailors.
Attempting an amateurish tolkienesque, but implicitly different from that setting.
