Sid Miller claims the USDA ignored his plan to stop a deadly screwworm outbreak now hitting South Texas cattle.

Well, the New World Screwworm has finally been confirmed here in Texas. The first case is in a calf down in Zavala County, which is southwest of San Antonio around Crystal City. If y'all haven't already taken steps to protect your livestock and your pets, now's the time to get it done.

@hold-my-beer-yall Yeah, it isn’t like they haven’t been warned for several years. We had an outbreak in the mid 70’s(?) when I was a little kid, the smell from these things is a vivid memory. But, we have many more tools in our toolbox to combat the flies today. Wildlife will take the biggest hit, and that’s where ranchers are making money
