Social Media control & Media laws and ethics

Social Media control, is there a need? If yes, how. If no, explain.
We really need to control our social media because of :
1- the space of expression that exists in these media may lead to shading public opinion from terrorist and extremist groups. So, on this point there is a good example , The Islamic state organization tries to invite young people to terrorism through the media because of that control media is necessary
2- Spreading rumors has become easier on the media so we should control the social media to avoid these problems that worry the public.
Media laws and ethics - do we have enough, too much or too little of it???
Unfortunately we do not have enough ethics and media laws. This can be find from several points.
Journalism: Through journalism the news can be manipulated to serve the interests of governments which write what it wants from the truth. So, there are no laws can stop that because the country do this laws based on their political interests.
Moves: in many films Portraying violence, sex and the use of bad words as a part of normal life which that unethical. As an good example of that the Twilight Saga: Eclipse move which show sex seen and love story which start from escaping from home but this moves was very successful.
own understanding:
The development of laws to monitor the media is very important to control the information in media which raise awareness about the good use of media and how we Avoid the mislead information. But there is something more important to develop it is self-censorship which make a good balance in the use of media.
How are different social classes represented

· Entertainment
Media represent Social classes in the moves , theater and serials an example passed on their jobs wealth. which rich people They live in palaces and houses with a good furniture and designs. Also, They own luxury cars specifically sports cars. In addition, the films try to represent the rich young man that he tries to impose himself on others.
On the other hand the lower classes are represent that they work hard and they live in smile houses. Also they are not educated and live far from cities.
For example: In American films, rich people appear in the upper social class and most of the blacks are from the lower class. FENCES one of the good example for this kind of moves
· Advertising
Social classes are represented in advertisements by type of language that they used, clothing, the place of photography, the sounds and the lighting. Which all most they try to show the lower classes people that they are homeless and honest
For example : Ads for the construction of housing complexes always show the upper social class is able to buy a house in it.
· New media
New media is all most caring about wealthy and high class people because this new media need for this upper class people to support it . Also, new media does not give the lower class any important because it think than no one want to know about poverty.
An example: When there is news about Bill Gates the media moves more, but when there news about children who die in Yemen the new media does not give them seem attention.
· The impact:
- personal : May create problems among members of society where the people feels unequal. Also, will show an aggression habits among community.
- professional : The other social classes always see that the upper class is dominant and they get more respect because they have everything that they like it.
· Own understanding :
The division of societies into social classes will leads to disintegration. Also, that will rise the range of hatred and violence which can't people deal with each other's. Moreover, if representation of the media in social classes continue we will have a hostile generation because there is no equality.

Citizen and self-censorship
Name : Adnan abdulllah al harrasi

When we say citizens do not need to know everything here we should ask several questions:
• What is the information?
• is it important to know?,
• does this information influence in the public opinion.
For example, does the Omani citizen need to know about houses prices in Saudi Arabia? Of course not because this information does not help him But, citizens have to know how much income in his country.
On the other hand, media professionals can not express ideas and information that break the law even if these ideas are facts. For example, Al-Zaman newspaper published an article that written some government official did not applying the law with some people and it gives names. This angered many and the newspaper was closed.
So, self-censorship cannot develop , the media because they reduce the freedom of expression and take political sides fear from punishment.
