Hi! So, l read everything and sonethins stuck out to me. On the summaries for each house, you've written that Jaime's marriage will be decided by the admins.. May I ask why? Shouldn't it be decided by whoever plays Jaime, the female and potentially whoever write their parents?

It is because we may want to use it for a plot thing along the way! That is not to say that we won’t listen to the ideas or the interventions of any of the above mentioned, of course.

SNAKES IN THE WATER IS AN AU ASOIAF DISCORD RP EXPLORING WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF ROBERT’S REBELLION HAD FAILED. 

     We begin at the Battle of The Trident, the year is 283 AC, and amidst the moribund screams of defeated forces, a pivotal battle was fought. A rebellion crushed in the one swift, merciless movement of Prince Rhaegar Targaryen’s sword piercing through the shoulder of Robert Baratheon. Myth has it that both men left the battlefield that day: one presumed dead, headed into exile, the other a victor and king of The Seven Kingdoms. With Aerys Targaryen dead, slayed by Jaime Lannister, and Aerys’ queen, her children and the princess Elia gone, Rhaegar returns to King’s Landing in disarray, ready for a new future to molded by his hands. Upon his return, Rhaegar makes Lyanna Stark his queen, proclaiming that any children by her will be his true heirs. A decision that would prove a catalyst for much unrest during his reign.      Tywin Lannister has been given the position hand, he has also bought his son’s freedom for his betrayal of murdering Aerys. 15 years later the Martells are plotting their revenge, gathering information to bring down the Targaryens once and for all, and somewhere from hiding, Robert Baratheon and other exiles are whispering, scheming as well. Who knows what happens next?

Stannis bent the knee to Rhaegar and Cersei has been married to him as a peace treaty. Myrcella and Joffery are twins, and still are Jaime’s children. House Lannister: After Tywin buys Jaime’s freedom he is released from the kingsguard and sent back and now Lord of Casterly Rock. His marriage has been expected for quite some time, he has yet to accept any offers. (that will be decided later by the admins) House Martell: Elia and her children are in hiding, presumed to be dead by all but a select few. House Stark: Lyanna begged Rhaegar to forgive Eddard as he had believed her to be kidnapped, he is still warden of the north. House Targaryen: Rhaella, Viserys remain in dragonstone. Daenerys is sent to winterfell when she is little older than a newborn to  be fostered at Rhaegar’s command. (leaving rhaella very upset with Rhaegar)

Do you guys have an app count?

i’m not completely sure what you mean by this, so i’m going to answer it in the two ways i interpreted it. if it’s not what you meant, please send another ask off anon so we can chat privately! if you’re asking how many characters are allowed per mun, the answer is two! but the characters cannot be from the same house or have a significant role on each others stories. we also ask that you be fairly active because someone else who can be active might want one of the characters. now the second way that this question that i took this is, how many apps do we have to accept. right now we have one. so i encourage everyone to apply ;>

Should we go off show or book ages?

Neither, really - it is more so what makes sense for the character? If we take someone like Jon, he’d have to be around 16 (to begin with) for it to align with the plot. But say the character was born pre (could also be children born post) Robert’s Rebellion, and ageing them up or down is what makes sense to your portrayal, then feel free to base them off either.

Can I put Jaime Lannister on reserve?

Yes. I’m reserving him for 24 hours, if you need more time shoot us an IM.

Where would the Starks be in this? Exiled with Robert or north still? And what about Jaime? Or are these things UTP?

We are thinking that Lyanna would have convinced Rhaegar to let her family stay in the north, but other ideas are def cool with us as well. And Jaime is UTP so far!

BY JOINING THIS SERVER YOU CONSENT TO THE FOLLOWING. 

▫ The server aims to be a safe place for everyone. Given the nature of the source material there will however be some explicit content. We ask that you make an effort to warn everyone beforehand. A list of triggers can be found under the  'important' category. 

▫  To give our writers as much creative space and freedom, and as to not exclude any canon characters from the get go (besides king Aerys, sorry), the plot only sketches out the basics of our au. Once we get to writing and exploring it further its likely to expand. Major "plot-drops" will be posted in the #announcements channel. 

▫  Credit to for honnleathrose for the plot drop idea. 

▫ We will not be tolerating any hurtful comments about race, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity. If this happens you will be given a warning and risk being banned if the behavior continues.

▫ Any issues you may have with someone else in the server should be worked out in private and should not affect the rest of the people in the server. If any help is needed, a mod should be notified and hopefully they can help figure out the situation. Please avoid vagueing, gossiping  (and anything else like that) in the ooc chatrooms.

 ▫ If these rules are not met, we reserve the right to ban you from the server. Banning however is the last resort should you choose to ignore the warnings that you will have been given in the case of smaller offenses. 

▫ Leaving the server is of course permitted. For the sake of keeping track of it all, please make sure to let us know before doing so. If you leave and rejoin we may have to decline you. 

▫ We would also prefer regular activity. Try to post something in character at least once every five days. If you have been inactive for a long time without notifying a mod, we will approach you about you wanting to stay within the server.
