What is SLAKE?
SLAKE is a Vampire: the Masquerade (V5) roleplay server styled to run like a chatroom. While it does offer the possibility to run like a standard Vampire game, SLAKE’s gimmick is that it is much more casual in its approach and encourages generally short, quick and frequent interactions, typical of a Discord server or group chat.
Synopsis?
After the fall of SchreckNet and the implementation of the wider Camarilla tech ban, spending time online as a kindred became an increasingly unpopular activity. Niche AOL chatroom clones did pop up from time to time, but it wasn't until the COVID pandemic that they really took off again— it was the ideal way to keep track of non-infected blood, and though they say it's no longer something to really worry about, these forums persisted, and grew beyond their initial purpose…
Even tonight, these chatrooms remain active, but it was only one of them that really took off during the pandemic — SLAKE. It's the kind of place you only get invited to — either personally by an existing member, or through other means: USB sticks scattered around, cryptic posters plastered on public bathroom walls, Morse codes playing on the radio… something only you could pick up. All you need after that is a stable internet connection.

the heat settles over the city like an unspoken sentence. for years, it has glowed the same way. humid, watchful, and almost deceptively bright. but at its core, the city bleeds through its own secrets. crimes have less chances of being solved, and more files appear on the police desks every day. and now, bodies begin to appear with a chilling regularity. carefully severed limbs, drained of any and all blood. the media calls it terror, the pattern calls itself intention. as if it was done for a singular reason only.
the strain spreads through the miami metro police department. detectives working overtime, following leads like one would follow a ghost in the dark. with smaller cases solved even less efficiently than they usually would be. every decision is watched, and every failure by the department is magnified. it becomes more obvious how morality is negotiable, and nothing lurking in the dark can truly stay hidden.

𝐍𝐎𝐂𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐀 is an established, 25+, semi-open, literate, plotless multifandom roleplay group. We are looking for active writers with an interest in long-term storytelling and well-rounded character arcs to join our cast of diverse personalities.
We Offer:
A friendly and engaging environment of older writers (mostly 30+).
Server events that facilitate group interaction with simple, light TTRPG elements.
No powercap with the understanding all characters will be treated with respect.
Robots/Mechanical characters welcome!
