Nothing here is meant to represent a universal adoptee experience, because there isn’t one! Though there can be some commonalities I believe we can come together for laughs, cries, celebration, mourning, and discussions! TW on mental health topics! Just to be super clear: free Palestine, abolish ICE, abortion is healthcare, protect trans kids, love is love, black lives matter, science is real, I love you all and we can do this together. - Now that I’ve aged since I started this blog. I wanted to say that I have learned more about the types of adoptions that can happen, I want to let you all know that I am aware this is not always the answer. In fact, many adoptions have been unethical and I urge hopeful adoptive families to do extremely careful and thorough research before deciding on this path. The child’s welfare must always be top priority in such a situation. I know some of my posts promote adoption but I want to be super clear that whether or not adoption is good is situational. When they don’t understand that my real parents are the ones who are raising/have raised me. My bio parents are the ones from whose loins I sprung from. Both are important roles but there’s a difference people don’t always understand.
When people just don’t understand that adoption isn’t about being secretly related to an Archprincess of Wonderworldland and she’s waitig to scoop you up and give you a crown.
