Savior | Ronnie & Adrian
Despite the fact that he was still considered "young" in the vampire community, Adrian felt as though he'd lived more lifetimes than most. He'd been in his fair share of bad situations but this one, well, it had been a while since the vampire had ended up in a situation like this. For the near two months that he'd been locked in - wherever the hell he was- Adrian couldn't help but wonder where exactly he'd fucked up.
Letting out a breath the vampire leaned his head against the wall he was currently leaning on. He gave another pathetic attempt to tug at the silver chains that were currently around both of his wrists as if hoping that they were somehow becoming weaker each time he tugged on them. At this rate he was going to have to feed on humans when he eventually got the hell out of this place - because he was leaving his hell hole...eventually.
He was three centuries old, like hell he was going to go out being some V junkies personal blood bag.
As if on cue the basement door opened. Adrian didn't bother standing up from his not so comfortable spot on the cold ground, he wasn't in the mood for putting up much of a fight today; truthfully, it was more like he didn't have it in him. Logan, or whatever this assholes name was, tossed him a bottle of TruBlood a couple times a week but that was it. What a considerate guy.
"If you're coming for more the least you can do is toss over a six pack," the vampire chuckled, looking dully up at the ceiling. It was then that Adrian realized his current companion was in fact an entirely different person - he didn't recognize her scent. He couldn't see the women from where he currently sat but Adrian knew she was there. "He's getting others to do his bidding now? I only threatened him a couple of times...I'm harmless," he joked, forcing a grin on his face.
Adrian was going to kill them all if he ever got out of there.
Almost Is Never Enough | Millie & Adrian
Adrian made his way through the deserted streets of Oxford, his mind going over and over the last couple of hours. It had been a while since the vampire had found himself in a mess like that. While he never really doubted the fact that he would escape he sure as hell hadn't planned on it going down the way it did. Then again, he was a 300 year old vampire and had still gotten captured by humans - the fact that he was saved by one shouldn't have been all that surprising.
But it was.
Since being turn he'd always had a soft spot when it came to humans - but Adrian wasn't an idiot, he knew just how cruel humans could be. Yet it had never been enough for him to lose his faith in them entirely...which was just one of many reasons why the vampire found himself in front of Luke Vranians mansion rather than at Ariellas. As soon as he had gotten Ronnie to safety and made sure she would recuperate, Adrian took off again. He had the rest of time to fully regain his strength. Right now, there were more important things at hand.
Like seeing her again.
He'd thought about her practically every day he'd been in that basement. In fact, a part of Adrian had been worried that she might have left during the short time he was gone. He was glad to see that wasn't the case when Millie had been the one to answer the door.
"Hi," was all he could muster at the moment, a weak smile on his face. He probably looked at great as he felt but again, there were more important things at hand right now.
I did it because I love you!

Undisclosed Desires | Vera & Adrian
Adrian couldn't have been more relieved to be home. Despite the fact that Oxford had become his permanent place of residence ever since Ariella had become queen of Mississippi, the young vampire still enjoyed an occasional getaway. After spending the past couple of months up north (Adrian always left during the summer months, seeing as the weather was worse than usual), he was eager to get back into the swing of things. Apparently a lot had changed during the short time he was gone. Ariella had only just begun to tell him when she had been summoned for business. Despite her offer to join him, Adrian opted for seeing just how much Oxford had changed while he was gone.
As expected, not much had changed...physically, anyway. Ariella had just touched on the brewing war with the wolves when she left. She did happen to mention a certain vampire bar being opened up, hoping that that would be enough to keep her (unofficial) progeny entertained until she returned. Seeing no harm in it, Adrian made his way to Fangtopia. The second he stepped into the bar he understood what the big hype was about. A place designed particularly for vampires to sit back and relax was definitely needed, especially in Oxford.
Figuring he'd stick round for a while, Adrian made his way to the bar when he stopped dead in his tracks half way there. Standing on the other side of the bar was none other than his actual maker, Vera Petras. It had been centuries since he'd seen the brunette; in fact, Adrian had still been human when he last saw her. He'd often wondered what he would do if ever found himself face to face with the woman who had essentially ruined his life. But now that she standing here in front of him, Adrian wasn't sure how to react.
For Ariella's sake, the younger vampire opted to take the high road (for now). Deciding it would be best to let himself cool off, Adrian made his way towards the door once again...but not before accidentally locking eyes with Vera.
Someone New || Eve & Adrian (closed)
Ever since seeing Dean, Eve had been rather nostalgic. Sure, the nostalgia was going to kill her slowly inside; but she couldn’t help it. Since being turned, she’d done everything in her power not to spare one second to think of her human life. But after seeing Dean, it had torn open the door that she’d kept locked so tight. And with the memories of Dean, so had come the memories of Adrian. If it was possible, the memories of Adrian hurt more than Dean. How was it that as a human she’d chosen two men who’d ended up leaving her?
She did her best not to think about things like that, and lingered only on the good memories. If she was going to have to face this nostalgia, then by the gods, she was going to think of the good things. And it was these memories that had brought her to the town square.
Eve sat on a bench in the lush, green town square. She could smell every flower here, hear the rustling of every leaf on the trees that created a canopy of shade. Not that it was needed; night had fallen, which meant the old time street lamps (which still held lanterns instead of the modern lightbulb, which brought Eve quite a lot of joy) had come to life, casting an intimate lighting on the square. She suddenly wished Luke were here. He would have looked divine in this lighting; though she thought he looked divine any time.
She exhaled a breath and leaned back in the bench. Her long, lean legs crossed, causing the fabric of her long dress to shuffle and cascade around the new formation of her legs, leaving just a hint of her cobalt blue heels showing beneath the black, translucent fabric of her dress. A hand came up to comb her long, brunette locks over her to one side of her shoulder, her green eyes scanning around her.
And then, she was shocked again. For the second time in nearly weeks, she saw someone she thought she’d never see again. The man she was thinking of mere moments ago.
Eve shot up to her feet and whispered his name. The wind must have caught and fluttered the syllables over to him, for almost as soon as the last sound of his name had left her lips, he turned to look at her. She could see he was just as shocked as she was to see him. Had they both thought they were long gone? Just as she and Dean had?
Eve rushed forward towards him, and he did the same. But once they were about ten feet from one another, she stopped and gazed at him. They were both staring at each other as if they were mirages about to disappear into the wind. The wind rustled her hair as they gazed at each other, and finally, Eve stepped forward and placed her hand to his face.
When her hand touched his skin and he didn’t disappear, she realized this wasn’t a figment of her imagination. He was real, he was here. “Adrian,” she gasped, her eyes full of awe and wonder as she gazed up at him. How could this be? After all this time, he was still alive. Her savior from childhood, her first love that she’d written off as simply a childhood delusion. “I thought…” she said softly, but couldn’t finish the sentence. Her fingers trailed down his jaw, and then she leaned up and wrapped her arms around his neck, her cheek pressing to his, “Oh, Adrian…”
Adrian was one of the rare few who would proudly consider Oxford home. Despite being centuries old, there was something weirdly comforting about the small town (probably the fact that it was home to so many supernaturals). It had been his permanent residence ever since Ariella had become queen of Mississippi, but that didn't mean occasional get aways weren't taken. Adrian was returning from his three month long stay up north, since he always took off during the hottest time of the year. Having grown up in Russia, the vampire still preferred the cold weather any day...even if he hadn't returned home since being turned.
His reunion with Ariella was cut short due to the fact that the queen was summoned to handle some business on the outskirts of town. Despite her offer to join him, Adrian opted for sticking in town. Apparently, a lot had happened in the three months he was gone. What intrigued him the most was word that a vampire bar had been opened in town. Curious, Adrian decided to make his way there. Unfortunately, his plans were put on halt when he ran into a familiar face. A face he never expected to see again.
Adrian was frozen. It wasn't possible. His mind had to be playing tricks on him. The thought of Eve had been long gone from his mind for nearly a century because he had made it that way. Shortly after being turned, Adrian had learned to conceal his emotions, as any vampire should. He could no longer afford to care for others, particularly humans who were seen as disposable to people like him. Or at least they had been until he met Eve. Saving her life had been meant to be nothing more than his good deed of the day. Before he knew it, Adrian was a constant companion of hers, even leaving his place beside Ariella to be with her. Years of concealing his emotions were shot to hell when he met Mildred Cason, even if she had been a mere child at the time.
But she had died. Adrian had felt her die. In fact, he could still remember the exact moment...Despite the fact that he had buried her deep in his past, Adrian couldn't ignore the smallest glimmer of hope in his chest now as he made his way over to her. All doubt was gone the moment she brushed her hand gently against his cheek. She was real. Eve was alive and well, standing before him.
Adrian was unable to summon a single word, the mixture of shock and disbelief suddenly too powerful. All he could do was wrap his arms tightly around Eve, burring his face in the crook of her neck. "I thought I lost you," he finally managed to say, his voice barely above a whisper.
