Little one, ancient magic stirs within you. Slumbering, waiting to be unleashed upon the world. It's raw, kinetic, consuming. Leave these gnarled forests and never return. For when you do, nature's power will consume you.
Remembrance
Alex laid on the ground, staring up at the night’s sky. The sun had faded, casting a soft blue glow across the sky. She recalled a simpler time, back when she was little. Her mother used to sing her a song. She smiled as the whimsical melody played through her head. She drew in a soft breath, her chest rising and falling slowly as she watched the sun continue to set. She felt moisture collecting in her eyes and she brought her hands up to rub it away. “Mom...Dad.. I miss you.” She spoke softly, it was almost like a whimper. She looked around, she was alone.
“Come stop your crying It will be alright Just take my hand And hold it tightI will protect you From all around you I will be here Don't you cry
For one so small, You seem so strong My arms will hold you, Keep you safe and warm This bond between us Can't be broken I will be here Don't you cry'
Cause you'll be in my heart Yes, you'll be in my heart From this day on Now and forever more You'll be in my heart No matter what they say You'll be here in my heart Always
Why can't they understand the way we feel They just don't trust what they can't explain I know we're different, but deep inside us We're not that different at all
And you'll be in my heart Yes you'll be in my heart From this day on Now and forever more
Don't listen to them 'Cause what do they know We need each other, to have, to hold They'll see in time, I know
When destiny calls you, you must be strong I may not be with you But you got to hold on They'll see in time, I know We'll show them together
'Cause you'll be in my heart Believe me you'll be in my heart I'll be there from this day on Now and forever more
You'll be in my heart No matter what they say You'll be here in my heart Always
Always I'll be with you I'll be there for you always Always and always
Just look over your shoulder Just look over your shoulder Just look over your shoulder I'll be there”

Alone.
The Forests reverberate with murmurs of Gods and Beasts, the once verdant forests now nothing but gnarled white bark and snow draped hills. Old Gods still lurk within these lands, their power rooted in the forest floor.
The density of the trees chokes and disorients you. The immense boulders bar your path. You feel your breath, soft puffs of heat escaping from your throat. The tip of your nose has gone numb and your body tingles with electricity.
Quick to sacrifice and loyal - your finest traits and biggest vice. Your dreams carry you through your waking days, despite the fitful slumber you press on. The wet snow crunching against your calves, dragging you down. Your breathing is labored and heavy. It weighs on you.
They wait beyond the trees, the deepest parts of the wood hide saints of another kind. Holy and unholy, the ancient oracles guide you. A sensation swirls through your stomach, a hunger; like a churning stew. Bubbling and sloshing like a sea crashing against the shoreline, You’re conflicted. You must tread softly through the sleeping world. The lean white wolf guides you.
You are Alone,
Here at the end of all beautiful things, you are alone little Wolf.

Alex burst up, her chest heaving up and down, her leather armor stuck to her flesh. Her features pale as she wiped the cold sweat off her brow. She laid in her tent, her river blue gaze cast skyward in the cold Colossus night sky. The stars twinkled high-above her head and the moon cast a white glow across the lands. She shivered and pulled her blankets closer. A faint whimper escaped the girl and she curled up into herself.
Whiteclaw hardly stirred, the beast’s slow, steady rhythmic breaths added to the sounds of night. She scooted closer to him, her arms wrapped around the beast as she cried softly into his ivory coat.
Out of the forest I come with my flowers, singing, all alone.
