I still can’t draw Asch and Luke the way I want, but that doesn’t mean I won’t keep trying. My goal to remake all of the skit sprites continues, and I’ve decided to try tweaking my artstyle. I’ll probably keep the more square chins for adults like Jade and Sephiroth and any others along those lines, but I’m wondering if I can’t achieve the adorableness of these isofons simply because I’m drawing their faces too much like I would an adult.
Was this a glow up? Maybe I will stick with this style of chin for Asch and Luke going forwards, it’s certainly much cuter than my old drawings.
Was working on this waste of digital canvas worth failing my Psychology finals? Probably not. But once this semester is finally over, I’ll have just a little more time to finish all the other projects I have in storage, so that’s nice.
did some stuff with the lasso tool :) its my favorite way to recreate the crk artstyle lol, theres something really fun about figuring out how to layer things and slowly building up the image...
tried to go for ones i havent drawn this way before (except regular smilk. he snuck in anyways bc i cant resist). white lily i Have done lasso art of before but its really old and was done on my phone so i wanted to make a better version here. everybody else i havent done a style recreation for before! also viri is here because i just havent drawn him at all before so. here he is lol

I’ve just been bouncing around between projects recently, which means this heavily in-progress WIP is the closest thing I have to an almost finished piece, and I’ve just decided to go ahead and post it before it’s done. I also haven’t even started on the background, hence the transparency.
This version of Asch and Luke (yes the both of them) is from an AU I made that I haven’t posted anything about, and I honestly still might chicken out of posting the actual AU when it’s all ready. But I’ll explain my poor choices with this character design further when I’m done with the final artwork.
Another case of poorly colored signatures here . . . well I guess it’s visible enough, and nobody would want to steal this anyways 😭.
