VPN Connection - Should you use one?

We noticed that most of the models, camming at different sites, are not using a VPN Internet Connection or are aware that they could be tracked, traced and possible hacked due to the use of a regular connection from the ISP (Internet Service Provider). Using a Wi-Fi or LAN connection can compromise the security in a couple of ways:   Without a VPN:   Without a VPN Connection using Wi-Fi with an open hot spot means you are browsing unencrypted and unencrypted means that an attacker can pick up the waves easily. Malware could be installed to your laptop without your knowledge. Free Wi-Fi could also be a trap - a not existing, fake Internet - this is called a phishing scam Using secured Wi-Fi or LAN without a VPN provides also everything you do on the internet to your ISP, they can see where you are at a certain time, which websites you are visiting and were you are broadcasting to! Your ISP tracks every single IP address you contact. They can further see and read everything which you are sending over the internet which is not encrypted. Also, they know what you download or upload from the web. The Worst case is, if someone finds out your IP address over your ISP or from accessing a general site. If they have your IP, they can track you down easily and pretty close to the location where you are at. Your IP Address gives Hackers the opportunity to try "breaking into your system". This is managed regularly with open ports on your computer.   ....but you are still safe!   Just to calm you down, if someone finds out your IP Address it does not provide any personal information about your name, address or any other personal information. Now to the VPN Connection (Virtual Private Network) and I mean if you are using a "GOOD" VPN service, then you get automatic protection from all the above points. Your ISP does only see a connection to the VPN, after that he is blind! So everywhere you are going after that is only managed by the VPN Sever which you are connected to. A VPN Service regularly has a lot of Servers in different countries where you can connect to. This way you could use a server close to your streaming site or a complete different country from your present location. If you check your IP after successful connection to the VPN you will see its different and will tell you also a complete different location from where you are at. Now to the VPN Connection Provider itself. There are a lot of them out there which are free and also available at a monthly fee. If you go with the free VPN you will certainly have problems broadcasting due to bandwidth limitations and a lot of people using the same server. It might also be that those free servers are blacklisted due to some "illegal" activity and you will have problems accessing sites who use Cloudflare for example. Going with a paid subscription (monthly or yearly) is the best way.     The 2 major points for a good VPN Connection are: You get a fast VPN connection The VPN Provider does not keep any logs, which means he does not record anything what you make on the net. Please note that at this point the VPN provider can see what you make. Now, all of them will tell you that they don't keep any records of log files or the log files will be deleted in so many hours .... Please also be aware of the data security - each country has different laws and regulations so also if they promise you not to keep log files they still have them on file and, in case that the authorities want to have a look at them, they will provide those files! The biggest ones like ExpressVPN (claims to operate out of the British Virgin Islands but maybe a Hongkong based company) or NordVPN (claims to operate out of a Panama Offshore location but based in Lithuania) are hiding their real location to get away from the "mandatory data retention laws". You even don't find a contact phone number or address on those websites. I would not trust those guys at all! Thus, the pricing they are providing are the same as a discounter but not the image of a reliable company and service. If you use a VPN Connection for your business, you should use a professional company to provide you excellent service, a secure and fast line and the fulfillment and not a promise, to not keep any log files. You can also have a look at our previous post "Country or Geo Blocking - does it really work?"     Our recommendation:   We will just recommend 2 and possible the best VPN Providers you can find. Both of them are based in Switzerland, have many Servers in different countries, have easy to connect software, you can see their address and phone numbers on their website and best of all, they really do not keep any log files. A proof from Perfect Privacy was that 2 Servers were seized in 2016 at the Amsterdam Server location and no data was ever found on that servers which means "no log files".   Hello! Moment Switzerland - don't they have any data retention laws?   Here some information copied from the Swiss VPN Hosts: Under Swiss law, it is not obligated to save connection logs, and we adhere to a strict no-logs VPN policy. Therefore, we are unable to comply with requests for user connection logs, even if they are legally binding. Furthermore, under Swiss law, a Warrant Canary is not meaningful, because under Swiss law, the target of a surveillance or data request must always be eventually notified, so they have the opportunity to contest the data request. Or here another one: Perfect Privacy built its infrastructure on this philosophy: All our services are running within strongly encrypted RAM disks so that it is technically impossible for data to be stored on hard drives. That also means that no data can be recovered if the power is disconnected.   Nobody can force us to log your data. If that were the case, we would rather discontinue Perfect Privacy than to record your data and compromise your privacy.     Now you can decide   They are not cheep in comparison with the "normal ones" - between $8,00 to $10,00 per month based on a 1-year plan. There are discounts for longer terms of usage. We have tested both of them for broadcasting to different Cam Sites with good success. The Upload speed slows down a bit but does not interfere with the quality of the stream itself. We tested them over the duration of 1 month at around 20 days in total. Just check each VPN Connection Provider out yourself and if you have technical questions or concerns you can drop them a line, and they will respond to your request. Just remember, the most famous VPN Providers are not always the best and not all reviews are trustworthy. Carefully investigate yourself and make the right decission! Camsite Country Blocking - does it really work?

Camsite Country Blocking - Yes it works & No it does not! Let me explain what Camsite Country Blocking is: Geo-restriction or Country-blocking is a way to restrict access to a certain Domain from a geographic location which means if you are in Spain and you want to block access to users from Italy, you just block the complete country from accessing your site. Camsite Country Blocking is the normal and regular way which works perfectly. So don't worry that if you are streaming from Spain and you don't want people in Spain see you on a specific site, they will not due to the Geo-blocking. The easiest way to try this yourself is if you go to the site, search for your model name and try to access the room or profile, It should tell you that this room or profile can not be accessed from your location! Perfect or not ? Ok, that's all good up to here. Let's say, someone in your Country "Spain" uses something like: a VPN to connect a VPS to connect a Proxy Server to connect a Tor connection Ok, most people do not really know what those things are but due to more and more regulations, security issues, be safe on the internet and so on, people getting aware of those services but still, good services cost money and that's the next blocking point to subscribe to one of them. Ok sure there are free services like Tor, free VPN or free Proxy but for sure they will not use them after a try due to the restricted usage or slow bandwidth. Try to look at a stream from a slow connection :-( The most common once are the VPN Servers were you can sign up for already a couple of $ or € per month and all they do is to reroute the traffic from their original location to another server at a different location in the world. That's it, so now the PC, Laptop, Tablet or Hand phone is connected from Spain to - for example Italy - and Italy is not in your Geo-block list! In other words - the Person in Spain is now in Italy and can access your room! Fact is! Bad or not Bad for the Camsite country blocking - I really don't know and there is nothing to add. The thing is and if you want to stay safe, the person would have to know your username and the site you are on - that's the only way they can find you. Another way is just pure luck to find a picture of you on the web, but that's like a 5/6 correct numbers in Lotto or finding a needle in a haystack. Also, I find it really stupid of some Model Studios or Agents to give comments like "Not even VPN's or proxy servers can bypass this Geo-blocking feature" ... which is complete untrue and in other words bullsh...! Or? Ok they could if they block every country in the world! ... but who would see them than - LOL. If you want to protect yourself - Geo-blocking is the way to go, stay safe and don't speak about your work. Just remember that you are Online and Online does not forget! A Word to you Guys or what you should not do!

(A Word to you Guys is only for Freak's & Troll's - not for nice, respectful viewers and members) So you like cam girls, cam models, cam boys and love to watch them online. Sure we all love to look at beautiful hot models, don't we! Sometimes I am in a models room and some freak/troll enters the room just to make fun or throw stupid comments into the chat, insult the model or posts stupid pics. Do we really need that kind of stuff? Certainly NOT. The people just don't understand that they are gray's with no Tokens, New or wannabe "King's of the World". Probably they suck in real life, are frustrated and just start insulting and attacking everyone. Most people ignore them but it's a hassle to get them on ignore on some sites. Just keep in mind that the model can ban you with easy - just one click and you are gone! Ok, you can come back as a guest but maybe your IP is also blocked at the same time. Just an explanation about "A Word for you Guys" for the Trolls out there:

1.

The models depend on the money they make Online which means they make their living or at least part of it with their cam performance. Like you are going to work, whatever you do, and get paid. It's a Job like any other one on this planet.

Do you go into a grocery store and greet the women at the counter like "Hey bitch, what's up - show me your meat" - Certainly not! Either you get kicked out or the meat hits your face. So think twice before you write some bullshit and show some respect to the performer. Remember to treat the performer in the same way as you would like to be treated by other people. Learn Respect

3.

Don't try to hit the performer with stupid requests about "make this" and I "pay you this much" or "PM me Baby…". Do you really think they don't know that you are trying to screw them? Ok, maybe you are lucky on a new model, but she/he will remember you for sure. So if you request something, Tip and the model will certainly get your attention. Most Models have a Tip Menu were you can find the prices for each request. If you don't find your wish, maybe ask the performer if she/he can fulfill it for you. If the performer requires a Tip for PM than you have 2 Options - pay and PM or write in open Chat. Don't forget to load your account before you even start requesting something! Think about something: "Would you work for free??"

When you enter a models room and you do not like what you see, just go away and look for another model. There are 1000s out there and you don't have to go far to find your perfect girl, boy or couple. There is no need to throw some stupid comments into the room and insult the model! She/He certainly already knows freaks & trolls like you, so do you really think she/he cares? ... but maybe your IQ is not high enough to understand this pretty easy common sense.

5.

Now to some "Wannabe Hackers". Nice try to get the model's attention when you write a link to another models room who apparently copies your live stream LOL. Linking to a site which looks exactly as the cam site login screen and requests the model to enter their username and password. Nice try to get the models account name and password but do you really think they don't know! Why should they enter the login again as they are already logged in? You guys are so terrible stupid that there is no word for it. There are a lot of ways out there, that's why models don't even click on links in Free and PM Chat.

6.

Spamming is another way to get you banned. Why are you trying to promote other models in rooms with a high viewer rate. Don't you think you get banned or silenced by the model or a moderator ? Try other ways to promote your favorite model - spamming will not help you at all. That should be it for now, just keep it as "A word for you Guys out there" So please change your attitude, don't be a troll and enjoy and respect all the performers out there.
