Suddenly remembered that there's different dragon designs in the German edition of WoF today, so I decided to draw my Ice/Night OC TempestHearted!

A little commentary on the art below cut:

She's missing a lot of distinctive scars in this (particularly a missing cheek on the right side of her face), but I didn't want to cover up the scale patterns/clutter the design. I also wanted to portray hybrid features with the Icewing scale pattern, blocky brows, and spikes accompanied with the long Nightwing snout and jaw spikes. The coloration is also an updated version of my OC's color palette- being lighter and by proxy, easier to see. The original palette was- I kid you not- three points lighter than pitch black. But you'll have to take my word on it, given that I never posted Tempest's dragon design (or the insane lore reason why I mentioned a dragon design as opposed to a different design) here before. Concluding fun fact though: I did make a shaded version of this, however it looked less like she was shaded and more like she was frosted.

Personally, I really love the German designs. While I don't think the tribes look as distinctive in them as their Joy Ang counterparts, there's something so cool about them- particularly with the dynamic poses for the references.

Just in case I never end up finishing, here's a WIP!

As I mentioned in another post, the process has been pretty chaotic and probably not ideal. There's plenty more that needs to be outlined, let alone colored and shaded- plus I want to replace the speech bubbles with something prettier without using my abhorrent handwriting. But! At least I tried a project I usually wouldn't even dare to touch.

Thinking about making an Minecraft Dungeons AU, or sharing an OC x MCDungeons thing I've been making for a long while. But idk, I'm pretty shy about my interest in MCDungeons. Maybe one day, though.

Also! To those who have seen my very early comic wip, I've kind of stopped working on it as of now due to art block (for the most part). But! I might show what has been done later. I think half of the lineart is done and some of the panels have base coloring for the characters. The process has been all over the place, but it doesn't look too bad!

Harmony!

Honestly, I didn't really like book 16 of WoF (might go on a small rant on that another day because I have a lot of issues with it). But I was on a call with a friend recently, rambling about my distaste, when I decided to draw Harmony out of kicks and giggles. I think she turned out really well! Strangely enough, I don't remember the last time I drew a hatchling, so I'm super proud of myself.

"But Evergreen! It says in the book she has leaf-shaped wings!" Behold, my imaginary dragon connoisseur:

I like to think Leafwings have oak leaf wings- it makes more aerodynamic sense in my brain while also helping me cope with getting jungle dragons 2 instead of the awesome northern forest inspired dragons I've always wanted from the series... (I'm too stubborn to make my own fantribe)

Progress report for my Zinnias! They've been growing very well since I last posted about them! I'm a little concerned about the bugs eating them, but I'll think of a solution later.

Recently I planted some zinnias from the seed, and yesterday they just sprouted! I was a little worried I drowned them on the first day, but it's good to see they're fine!

Also, second post in a row, but art!! Sven's an OC who I've had for a while, at least a year by now. He came from an idea I had- "what if there were assimilated illagers in Scape and Run parasites". After that, I kind of came up with a story about him and a world-hopping OC. I might share his story one day if there's enough people who are curious. In his original story though, he doesn't get to be fully assimilated- making this kind of a... "bad ending" thing.

A bit of an opinion piece, but I personally don't get the craze with Hytale. I mean, I kind of understand that it had a rough development and Minecraft really does need some competition for it (referring to MC, not Hytale) to grow, but also- there's just something about it. Maybe it's the art style (personally, it's just... looks too corporate? Idk, it's just too vibrant and clean I think. No hate on the artist, it's just really not my cup of tea.) or how it looks like it plays super similarly to minecraft. Either way, I think I'll stick to Vintage Story and Minecraft. Besides, everyone's entitled to their opinion. If you think Hytale's the shizzle, go ahead, enjoy!
