I believe that appreciation is a holy thing–that when we look for what’s best in a person we happen to be with at the moment, we’re doing what God does all the time. So in loving and appreciating our neighbor, we’re participating in something sacred.
Fred Rogers (via allieinarden)
About the song:
I, Tyler, awoke one morning a few years ago with an overwhelming sense of gratitude for who Jenny is. It was then that I started writing the words to this song. While I wish I could feel that way all the time, this song reminds me of that moment and beckons me to keep pursuing my wife in tenderness and love. About the video:
While driving in Ocean Isle Beach, NC this past September, Jenny and I saw the sun setting, got out of the car, walked into the water, and asked our friend Joey, who happened to be with us, to film. There was a full moon opposite the sunset, the water was near 80 degrees, and the air was almost still. Such beauty!
I cried both times I saw them play live. The way they look at each other when they sing is incredible and so, so beautiful.
I think I’ve learned to trust God more through the struggle of this school year.
So I haven’t seen this yet on tumblr….A very creative and hella coordinated cover of Hello.
