The deeper they walked into the forest, her heart pounded more rapidly. At any rate, the monster could just startle her to death and consume her. Fionna wasn’t normally like this. The blonde just, well, couldn’t. Negative thoughts would attack her the moment she would slay the fiend, forcing herself after not to be frightened of something so big. Clearly, that always worked. Fionna halted in her tracks and cupped her ear. “Yeah. It’s some  kind of growl…”

Cake, just like her sister, felt her heart pound deep within her chest. It was peculiar for both of the adventurers to get frightened so easily, but the monster they were about to encounter was a big one. With each step Cake took, she started to regret the decision of venturing into the forest. Before the cat could say a word to her friend, a dark growl echoed deep within the forest. "F-Fionna, maybe it was a bad idea coming out here...We should go back, sweetie."

Once Fionna dropped to the ground in a jump that could have injured her, instead unusually landing in a safe position, she brushed off her lap and stretched the top part of her hat to allow Cake. “It could be green. Or maybe really tall, since it eats anything in its way.” Vigilant of her surroundings, the sound of her steps decreased as she departed for the monster.

Cake casually kept herself on Fionna's head as the blonde starting to walk deeper into the forest. The cat, feeling as if she needed to do something really important, started to thing of ways to bet the monster. Of course, Cake could stretch out to a size even bigger than the monster, or she and Fionna could fight with their swords. After a little while of thinking, Cake heard a noise that echoed deep inside her ears. "Hey, Fionna, did 'ya hear that?"
