advxhyejin:
Her lips pressed together nervously as she attempted to soak in as many details about Seulgi as she could, but Hyejin was not made for these types of situations. It was easier to try and kick doors down or climb up mountains; physical activity she could do, intellectual pursuits were not her forte. She chose to give the stranger the benefit of the doubt. âWell, I suppose I have a day off today,â she answered carefully, slowly.
She still stood nervously, but her shoulders at least managed to fall into a more relaxed posture. Hyejin looked around and half-nodded toward a store. âYou can ask me any questions in this cafĂ©. I heard they make good pastries.â
If Seulgi could burst out in loud cackles at the girlâs wide eyes without busting her hasty façade â she would, but alas, now was not the time. Instead, Seulgiâs lips twitched up into a Cheshire grin, her pearly whites gleaming not unlike that of a wolfâs gaping maw. âGreat~â She sang, clapping her hands together gleefully. âI sure hope you donât mind spending the day with me then, unnie!â the chirpy tone tasted like ash clogging her throat, and probably sounded a little too forced to be genuine (and was the woman even older than her, for that matter?) but whateverâ the girl seemed to be buying it, and so Seulgi plunged stubbornly onwards.
Seulgi was a wolf donning sheepâs clothing, much like those fairytales the caretakers at the orphanage liked to read; and like those stories, Seulgi really had no idea what she was doing; nor did she know how ridiculous she looked, barring her teeth whilst attempting to âsmile gentlyâ at her prey. Seulgi thought the whole thing was going splendidly â spectacularly well even, when in reality she was doing an absolutely atrocious job and should be grateful that Hyejin didnât decide to ignore her antics completely. But alas, as luck would have it, Seulgi managed to ensnare a genuinely caring individual as her latest victim, and so whilst Hyejinâs accommodating attitude seemed a little too good to be true, Seulgi merely took it as a sign that she was doing brilliantly; which was the very opposite of reality.
Seulgi nodded happily at Hyejinâs suggestion, though admittedly she didnât really know what a âpastryâ was, but oh well, whatever goes. âIâve never tried a âpastriesâ before, unnie~ Is it a type ofâŠfood?â Seulgi asked, genuinely curious. âThe last one there is paying!â Seulgi finally let out her caged cackles into the air as she ran towards the cafĂ©.

âHm~ so the Foundation is that kind of place!â Seulgi murmured, temporarily distracted with stuffing her mouth with even more pastry. These things are really good~ Seulgi thought. What was even in them? As she pinched another up with a forefinger and thumb, Seulgi stared intently at the crumbly skin of the pastry, as if she could divulge the secrets of the universe from the filling. âI have a really⊠infectious ability though, so Iâm a little scared of harming the residents within!â She divulged with a faux despairing sigh, though in reality, Seulgi could care less if she infects the whole lot of them.
âWhat do you think I should do, Unnie?â Seulgi pouted. âHow do you prevent your power from being used willy-nilly?â
