Seulgi simply loved politics.
Well no, don’t be silly; of course Seulgi doesn’t follow, let alone support any parties nor institutions for that matter. No, Seulgi loved politics because of the human monsters they conceive. Oh how it amuses her to see those politicans fill themselves up with bravado and misplaced confidence, as if they were worth more than the trash at Seulgi’s feet. Needless to say, when it comes to hunting, Seulgi loved politicians in particular.
That’s not to say they’re particularly interesting for a human by any means, but rather, it seemed to Seulgi that they seemed to represent the most sinful and thus pitiful of human tendencies in a neat nutshell, just waiting for Seulgi to come and crack it open and pry their flesh away until she could pop their weak little heart in her mouth, savoring the flavor of their anguish when they discover that they’re just. Like. Everyone. Else.
Oh yes, whenever Seulgi spotted politicians scrambling outside to and fro from the local government building, she would always be reminded of balloons, those politicans that consisted of nothing but thin, fragile human skin and little else other than hot air and false bravado. Someday, Seulgi would love to pop one, relishing in the delicious screams of those politicians when they realize that there were much more terrifying monsters in this world, and in particular, a mutant called Kang Seulgi.
Which is why, on a day like this one, with her first politician marked and solidly tracked within her sights, Seulgi’s blood was singing hymns within her bloodstream. Would today be the day? Seulgi gave a deranged giggle as she all but vibrated with anticipation for a bloody Game with her favorite kind of human.
However, unfortunately for Seulgi, whilst getting into the government building was easy, getting close to her mark’s office was another matter entirely. Seulgi seethed at the receptionist politiely refusing her entry as she watched her oblivious mark enter the elevator, his security guards eyeing her warily.
Nono. That will not do. Seulgi was a mutant, and no mere human can hope to thwart her.
And so, that was how Seulgi found herself scaling the backside of the government building with unexpected difficulty. (But alas, Seulgi was Seulgi, and she simply refused to give up and find another mark.) After nearly losing her grip on a nearby window, Seulgi finally found a window that was unlocked on the 5th floor. Finally, she huffed with exertion as she slid herself inside, only to be faced with many surprised faces at her unexpected and unconventional appearance.
Seulgi gave a hesitant giggle.
And so, that was how Seulgi found herself being chased around the building by security guards as she raced around the building, hoping to lose them before she could secure an elevator to search for her mark. Bingo~ Seulgi thought as she slammed open an elevator door before hurriedly closing it, waving a cheerful goodbye to the lone security guard at the end of the hall.
Belatedly, Seulgi realized that there was another girl in the elevator.
“Hello, little Lamb!” Seulgi said cheerfully. “Do you happen to know what floor Park Kwang Soo’s office is?”
And of course, in accordance with Seulgi’s string of rotten luck, it was at that very moment the elevator’s lights blinked and died, subjecting both of them into complete darkness.
