Triassic cuddle. It's a fossilized burrow, that contained skeletons of a mammalian synapsid thrinaxodon and an amphibian broomistega.

I decided to make this a story about two close creatures. Thrinaxodon's name is Tawny. He's grumpy, rude and doesn't like others getting into his burrow. He doesn't mind throwing visitors out.

One day a broomistega named Burmey (she made sounds like "bur-br") came to visit. She was injured and needed shelter. Tawny was furious when he woke up next to the amphibian. After she begged him and even brought some fish, he finally let her stay, in return Burmey had to catch food.

These two never had similiar thoughts and habits, but they stayed together in the burrow. When Burmey got healed, she left. Tawny was preparing for the next hibernation, yet got sick and couldn't escape the coming flood. Burmey came to him anyway and stayed until it was over.

They didn't say something important to each other, because Tawny was too proud to confess he got a friend, and Burmey couldn't talk much like him. But they still stayed together in one burrow.
