Story of 27

Synopsis: 12 stories depicting 12 Black people connected across different points of time and space intersecting along a multiverse where a Black cyborg that wouldn’t have been forged without their attempts tries to escape an Earth doomed to a red giant sun in search of an eons old question, “What happened to the humans?”. Eventually leading the cyborg on a multigalactic, multiuniversal thriller that began with a decoded number sent from another universe.. #27.

“What if a number linked humans across different points of time and space no matter their distances? like particles within a quantum mechanical universe paired across vast distances.. could humans be capable of entering a state of consciousness aided by technology that allows them to pair with other instances of themselves, and perhaps even share information?”

I wanted to create an indiegogo (now redirecting to my paypal since the campaign finished as of Feb. 8th PCT) for my comic book ‘Story of 27’ because I’d need enough to make and distribute the comic book, which would be 12 issues plus a 13th issue tying it together all within the same multiverse just taking place in different timelines and universes with tones of afrofuturism and decolonialization. I’d also like to put together a 30 min (maybe longer if possible) animation short that ties with the digital issues I’d also distribute. It’s a lot of work and money and time I don’t have and can’t afford because I gotto focus on getting the bills paid. but with enough funding I could have time freed and money to get this going and put this wonderful mindfuck of a story out there for the world. I think it’s a story worth telling, will you help me tell it? Spread this and support it in any way you possibly can.

Update: (scratch those links above including paypal) I appreciate every one of yall who still support my comic book even tho I haven’t even dropped any drafts in over a year or hooked yall up with goodies like these artists b doing. I don’t wanna long post (im gonna long post) cus I’m saving most of it for that video I’m making covering my last year and how I was fired by racists for doing my job better than them and going on unemployment while struggling to sell art in nyc streets cus I didn’t wanna keep running to tumblr whenever I had no economic security after getting kicked out the crib for fighting an abuser.

That said there are still people here who have faith I’m gonna get it finished and I wont disappoint them or me, I’m not gonna let all that bowshit hinder me from putting those books out. and I’ve only recently started to heal from the domestic abuse situation with pops which fucked my whole family and social life up. My drawing got so trash or my standard for myself grew but I just felt like nothing I drew was worthy of the story I wanna tell. Idk wtf was that about probably depression doing it’s thing but anyway it’s only been through shit like #Inktober and other artist friend’s encouragements that I slowly crawled outa that hell hole and focused on what I needed for this book to be poppin instead. I received one too many messages from mother nature to finish this and I got to.

I already have the story board for the free digital comic book I wanted to drop for those who waited so long. The one of the black cat finding an  alien tool that ties with the main story. As for ‘Story of 27′ I will at least start dropping some character designs and set sketches I’m just really picky with how this main character is gonna look I don’t wanna do some basic shit after all this. Thank you for sticking through I promise you this book wasn’t no con on yall money. On the plus side I’m getting some luck with the employment search since my work history talks for itself. Radio city wants me after a succesful group interview but I’m running out of unemployment funds (the gov’ slashed extended unemployment for all like 2 years ago I think) and living off my art at this point. I’m still gonna drop the cat comic for free regardless of donations. Fact:

The transfer of Information in any form is limited to the speed of light. IC 1805: The Heart Nebula 

Sprawling across almost 200 light-years, emission nebula IC 1805 is a mix of glowing interstellar gas and dark dust clouds. Derived from its Valentine’s-Day-approved shape, its nickname is the Heart Nebula. About 7,500 light-years away in the Perseus spiral arm of our galaxy, stars were born in IC 1805.

In fact, near the cosmic heart’s center are the massive hot stars of a newborn star cluster also known as Melotte 15, about 1.5 million years young. A little ironically, the Heart Nebula is located in the constellation of the mythical Queen of Aethiopia (Cassiopeia). This deep view of the region around the Heart Nebula spans about two degrees on the sky or about four times the diameter of the Full Moon.
