I just finished Gideon the Ninth and just wow. 10000/10. No notes, beautiful, the ending was CRAZYYYYY but I’m gonna miss Gideon 😭😭 I came across the book at my library, grabbed it cause I’ve heard good things, and before I even finished it I ordered the entire series on thriftbooks because I’m obsessed. This is going to become my entire personality now.

I’m coming to realize there’s a pretty decent fandom for the series which makes me so happy but I can’t interact with anything until I finish the series cause I don’t want spoilers. But best believe I’m chomping at the bit so excited for the series to arrive and will probably start rereading when I’m finished too.

I think my coworkers are drawing the wrong conclusions when they are like genAI sucks (oh wait it does something useful it's redeemed now caz you should try it)

Like I'm not against it because it can never do anything useful I'm sure it's correct sometimes the problem is THE DESTRUCTION OF SOCIETY AND THE PLANET even when you use it for harmless purposes and it does something right even if it's not chatgpt or grok it's STILL DESTROYING. THE FUCKING. PLANET. any genAI use causes damage without providing anything that cannot be done without it.

If companies like Google or Microsoft aim for 100% adoption of a tool it's a tool for them to use against you none of this is done to help you dude you're just being dragged into it a little slower than the people who let chatgpt write their shopping lists
