I am not a cat behavior expert so someone come correct me if I'm wrong but after years of observing small furry bastards, I don't see any aggressive or fearful body language here. Cat 1 is doing some very relaxed play stalking, cat 2 sees and does a Big Frighten because cats are drama queens, cat 1 immediately drops into a silly roll to show cat 2 that it was just going to play, defusing the situation, and cat 2 joins in the rolling. They have a wiggle party in the dirt. That's playing! This is Good Timss. Cat 2 would have retreated rather than joining in the wiggles, if he felt threatened, and cats expecting a fight don't typically show their bellies. (There are exceptions. At very close range a cat that does not want to fight but thinks they WILL be attacked MAY do so and get on their back to be able to deploy the hind legs to rake or kick the attacker away. Raleigh does this. It doesn't work very well.)

Aggressive cats stance the fuck up. They become stiff, the necks and forelegs get very tense. I would expect one or both to have looked like this:

Modern AU - Childhood friends, they meet at daycare when Eren notices this smol child reading by himself under the slide, he decides he’ll be his friend. Armin is nervous because most people make fun of him for his longer hair and goosebump books. Thus begins the friendship turned romance once they are in their later teens. My boys play animal crossing and Armin wears hair clips, they climbed trees in their youth and ever since Eren got his license they’ve traveled to the towns over. They are happy, their are playful, they are in love. That’s it, no sad times.

Attack on Titan AU - BeruAru in a Supernatural Creatures AU. Staring Armin as a nerdy vampire and Bertholdt as the shy werewolf.

Elementals AU - basically, the canon ish universe, where shadowhunters and downworlders are also blessed (cursed) with powers based on certain elements. Simon Lewis, as a vampire, is an ice based elemental (cold skin = cold powers). Jonathan Morgenstern is a fire based elemental (crispy boi = crispy powers). Add the cliche of ice boi and the pyrotechnic falling in love and that’s this. I may make the others, but I’m not sure what they are. When they hold hands they steam. Simon finds it cute.

Lewistern Mundane Parents AU - they own one of those cute houses in the middle of suburbia. They have two kids, the oldest being their daughter, Anabella and the youngest being their son, Ethan, named after Simon’s dad. Simon works at the high school as a Music Teacher, on the side he plays for his family and friends. Jonathan works for the school as well, as a Chemistry teacher. He enjoys pyrotechnics a bit too much, but hey the sophomores love it. Little Ana loves exploring the outdoors with her brother and occasionally pushing him when he doesn’t do what she says. Ethan juts really likes leaves and gluing them to walls, much to his parent’s dismay. However Grandma Jocelyn swears he’s gonna be the artist of the family. Clary will visit from time to time with her wife, Maia, who just loves hanging out with the kids. They are expecting their own in the Fall. All in all they are a happy family, complete with Pizza and Movie Fridays.
