trc characters & their music taste: a series of playlists

gansey: music that either SOUNDS like it’s from the sixties, or is actually from the sixties. cool dad music & surf rock. probably half the songs could be used in the soundtrack for a wes anderson movie. just picture him driving the pig with “wouldn’t it be nice” by the beach boys blaring out the summery windows. also a lil jazz bc he’s a nerd.

adam: a perplexing mix of indie music from the 90′s & early 2000′s, along with folk & chamberpop, and a carefully curated selection of songs from the 80′s (think the cure or joy division). a SMALL portion of his music library includes recent indie & alternative music. almost all of it is at least slightly melancholy. occasionally he listens to bluegrass

noah: listens to Typical Skater Boi music from the early to mid 2000′s. also into pop punk, and occasionally alternative rock and lo fi- mostly for the song titles like “lonely boy goes to a rave.”

blue: indie rock, lo fi, and angry girl music. her music taste ranges from frankie cosmos to bikini kill, and beyond. she and ronan can weirdly agree on music as long as she only plays the punk girl bands she listens to when she’s pissed off. she also listens to indie pop upon occasion (especially if the songs are about girl power in some way)

ronan: electronica, mostly. he listens to a lot of obnoxious electronica- mostly to annoy people- but by himself he listens to new garage, future bass, and even some electropop. SECRETLY listens to irish folk & punk when he’s in a very good mood.

henry: 80′s pop, electropop, and alternative pop. OCCASIONALLY underground rap. you can ALWAYS count on henry to have something worth dancing to- even if it’s a super cheesy song from the 80′s (think rock lobster by the b52′s level of cheesy). ronan would be embarrassed to even let him TOUCH the aux cord in the BMW.
