If you feel like you’ve seen this alread, that’s normal. This list of recommendation has been previously posted on my first account @praestantias which has been deleted for some reasons. So here I am, reposting it. 

Hating how elitist and eurocentric the dark academia community became, I would truly appreciate that you leave some recommendation of book written by people of color, for I noticed that I am guilty of the eurocentric part, but I am really want to educate myself and read more non-white books.

Greek Muses: Urania

Οὐρανία in Greek mythology, the muse of astronomy. Urania is often associated with Universal Love and the Holy Spirit. Sometimes identified as the eldest of the divine sisters, Urania inherited Zeus’ majesty and power and the beauty and grace of her mother Mnemosyne. Urania dresses in a cloak embroidered with stars and keeps her eyes and attention focused on the Heavens. She is able to foretell the future by the arrangement of the stars.

Sculpture of Episteme, symbolizing Science, at the Celsus Library in Ephesus, Anatolia. The third largest library in the ancient world, it was built in honor of a Roman Senator and completed between 114-117 AD. It had the capacity to hold 12,000 scrolls.
