she is beautiful!
Tony Yaacoub Couture Fall-Winter 2014
Jamie stared at the ballerina with narrowed eyes and a tilted head, as if watching it closely. Practically expecting her to move, actually. “How much?” she finally asked. “Assuming she’s for sale, that is, if you’re willing to part with her.”
Neriste smiled as she watched the woman, pleased that she liked the sculpture enough to consider buying it. "Of course, that's what shops are for, isn't it? To sell things? I've always been terrible at determining prices, just make an offer and we can go from there."
"Shame; that’d be just the sort of thing to keep people in here a little longer." Jamie narrowed her eyes and looked at the little ballerina. "This is quite good, actually. Where did you find this?"
Neriste smiled proudly, and gave a small shrug. "I made it myself. Everything in the shop," she gestured around her, "is made either by me, or by my brother, who is...actually out right now on a coffee run."

Marchesa Fall-Winter 2013
Jamie shivered, stomping off the snow from her boots as she took a moment to look around. “Oh, dear, this isn’t the coffee shop, is it? I-” She took a glance at the little ballerina figure and nudged it with a gloved hand, fixing it’s position. “Sorry, force of habit; that’s the angle you’d see her at for that position. I think I picked the wrong door… unless you sell coffee?”
"Sorry, no." Neriste laughed lightly. "It's actually down the street." Her head tilted curiously as the woman moved it, and smiled a bit wider. "No problem at all, it looks much better. I"m afraid I'm a bit rusty on my ballet technique, it's been...quite a while..." She laughed again, and shook her head. "Sorry, no. 'Fraid we don't."
It was a bit chilly that day, not the best lighting, but Neriste was trying to make do. She was working in the shop downstairs, trying to find the ideal place for her latest finished creation, a small porcelain figurine of a ballet dancer in the middle of a pirouette. The small bell above the door rang as someone came in, and Neriste turned the figurine a certain way again, before turning to them, smiling brightly. "Hello! Is there anything I can help you with?"

The twins love Starbucks. Korsange'e likes to try different things on the menu, but almost always adds caramel or something similarly sweet, whereas Neriste will only experiment on occasion. She prefers to stick to her favorites: frappes and pastries (the latter tend to always be missing a nibble or two if Kor is the one doing the run).

“Korsange’e!” Neriste huffed out, trying to keep her footing as Kor dragged her through the woods. The man didn't acknowledge her in the slightest. He was set on what he had to do. One hand clasped tightly over his sister's, the haunted sprite paused only to yank his pajama pants from whatever had caught them before vaulting over a fallen log. His dream had said this way, so this way he would go to prove once and for all that that's all it was. A dream.
Neriste was too slow. Kor soon released her hand to finish the final leg of the marathon. What he found was what he had feared.
Bodies.
After his crash course through the woods, the shocked silence was almost deafening. That is, until a wail pealed from behind the hand over his lips. The world rushed towards him before he even realized his knees had buckled.
Neriste finally caught up with him, and just stood there for a moment, hand to her stomach as she tried to catch her breath. Her first focus was making sure Kor was okay, bending next to him to pull him into her arms, before she finally looked at what had spooked him. She held him a bit tighter, trying to shield his view, as she heard other voices, people nearby. “Kor, why would you want to come here?”
