A look into his past | Part 1
Big brown hues stared at the woman in front of him, pupils dilating out of fear for just a second before they fell back to their usual dreamy state. The little boy's mind was anything but dreamy though as he tried to ignore the sound of his aunt crying, the outside world becoming a blur to him for a moment. Nathaniel didn't snap out of his shocked state until he could feel a familiar hand running through his brown locks, he looked up at his aunt and mirrored her faked smile.
"I'll be back for you, okay?" she promised, getting on her knees and pulling the eight year old closer to her body "Aunty only has to take care of some things, but she'll be back for you as soon as possible." the boy didn't really know what this all meant exactly. He lifted his right arm shakily, his left arm still hanging limp against his body and gently patted her back. He didn't say a word, but Nathaniel was obviously trying to comfort her in the only way he knew.
And then his aunt left and the little boy felt all alone again. The strange woman had her hand extended to him, but he just stared at it for a moment. "So what is your name?" he looked up at her in surprise, startled by the unfamiliar sound of her voice.
