varian’s trollhunter verse: he was a changeling’s familiar who was taken to the darklands in 1800. the changeling died in the modern day and since there was no longer any use for the baby varian, gunmar was going to kill him. the goblins smuggled him out to trollmarket before that could happen. varian was adopted by a troll named quirin and began to rapidly age due to the changeling magic that was instilled in him. he stopped around age 15-16 and although he knows all that he would’ve known had his life not been taken from him, he’s still trying to learn how things work in the modern world
