Horatio  had  not  been  feeling  quite  well  this  recent  times  .  He  was  not  like  himself  ,  in  a  healthy  way  .  This  morning  ,  Horatio  woke  up  with  massive  tons  of  pain  from  headache  and  unusual  heat  on  his  body  .  He  thought  this  was  just  nothing  but  a  little  fever  condition  .

The  day  in  the  office  is  just  normal  ,  there  is  no  new  case  received  today  and  that  is  a  good  news  to  his  sick - self  .  He  won’t  yet  to  admit  defeat  to  the  ‘  on - the - way  ‘  sickness  ,  as  those  effect  had  not  yet  taken  over  his  body  .  Not  yet  .  

All  of  the  sudden  ,  Horatio  felt  a  little  hungry  .  It  is  odd  ,  but  he  had  skipped  early  breakfast  in  fear  those  sickness  would  made  him  throw  up  his  morning  meal  .  He  grabs  his  phone  from  his  jacket  and  presses  on  his  familiar  contact  number  :  Phillip  .  That  man  who  owed  him  three  dollar  for  the  Hummer’s  gas  .

Upon  his  call  was  picked  up  ,  he  heard  a  ‘  Hello  ‘  and  indeed  that  was  really  Phillip  on  the  other  line  ,  answering  his  call  .  ❝  Phillip  ?  Are  you  free  by  any  chances  ?  ❞

❝  Yeah  ,  I  mean  ,  I  got  nothing  that  needs  my  attention  .  ❞  Phillip  answered  ,  as  he  took  a  long  stroll  through  the  lab  while  answering  the  phone  call  from  his  boss  .  ❝  I’m  on  my  way  there  ,  sir  .  ❞

Upon  knocking  and  entering  into  his  boss  office  ,  Phil  could  notice  the  slightest  unease  looks  on  Horatio’s  face  -  as  if  this  red - haired  man  didn’t  get  much  sleep  needed  for  today  .  Not  to  mention  ,  he  looked  like  a  shitty  one  .

❝  Welp  ,  I’m  here  boss  .  Do  you  need  anything  ?  ❞

Horatio  stood  there  ,  still  ,  before  he  completely  turn  his  body  facing  at  the  newest  face  standing  within  the  doorframe  .  He  was  informed  earlier  at  the  beginning  of  the  day  that  someone  will  fill  in  the  empty  spot  into  his  team  - - -  now  he  remembered  that  .

❝  Mister  Castillo  … .  ❞  his  gaze  slightly  went  down  on  the  floor  as  he  had  just  realized  he  would  have  needed  a  proper  speech  of  welcoming  the  new  CSI  .

❝  You  came  just  in  time  .  I  think  you  might’ve  heard  of  the  current  case  now  ,  haven’t  you  ?  ❞  He  asked  the  newbie  guy  ,  and  he  just  wanted  to  know  either  Phillip  follow  up  the  case  or  not  - - -  and  it  is  quite  a  test  question  if  he  is  an  attentive  person  like  the  profile  written  . 

❝  I  did  ,  Lieutenant  .  I  heard  about  the  kidnapping  ,  the  murder  ,  and  in  case  you’ve  been  wondering  where  I  am  earlier  ,  I  was  helping  with  the  evidence  .  With  Ms.  Duquesne  .  ❞

Now  ,  though  ,  it  seems  like  his  word  ---  his  answer  ---  could  probably  convince  his  supervisor  that  he  is  not  dropping  out  of  his  task  .  Although  Phillip  may  look  like  doesn’t  care  of  his  job  ,  he  actually  does  his  job  ---  following  his  own  instinct  .  He  can  prove  the  supervisor  by  himself  that  he  does  not  need  to  be  told  what  he  should  do  .

The  presence  of  @aetxrnus​  into  his  lab  was  not  well  welcome  .  Not  when  he  was  busy  handling  a  case  that  he  is  halfway  into  it  .  The  red  haired  lieutenant  turns  his  head  at  the  stranger’s  voice  ,  cold  sharp  gaze  of  his  blue  eyes  meet  the  new  face  at  the  lab’s  door  .  ❝  What  were  you  doing  in  my  lab  ?  ❞

Maybe  entering  into  his  lab  at  a  wrong  time  or  minutes  ,  or  hour  isn’t  right  .  Judging  by  the  looks  planted  lieutenant's  face  ,  he  could  tell  he  was  on  some  sort  of  struggle  into  finding  more  evidence  .  ❝  ‘M  sorry  Lieutenant  ,  maybe  I  forgot  to  introduce  myself  . . .  ❞

With a soft laugh Harriet let herself step up onto his feet, letting him do the work of moving them to the rhythm of the music. Letting herself enjoy the extra degree of closeness it brought them. Letting her head lean against his chest and listen to the steady beat in it.

There was something about it, and him, that felt so warm and protecting and she was more than content to soak up those feelings.

She looked up at his question, a smile creeping over her lips. “It is getting a tad late for this sort of event, isn’t it. I can’t imagine it’ll go for much longer.” She agreed. “We could go somewhere if you’d like. We could go get some late dinner or grab a drink somewhere if you’d like, before you take me home.” She proposed. “I would enjoy getting to know you more one on one.” She was going to have to thank her sister again for stepping back to let her be the one to go out with him.

“  Great  !  ”  He  was  smiling  down  at  her  ,  before  returning  his  gaze  back  into  the  empty  spaces  ,  enjoying  the  dances  .

Curious  ,  aren’t  she  ?  Well  ,  he  really  did  not  exactly  saw  that  coming  quite  fast  ---  having  his  date  to  know  about  him  ?  He’d  be  extremely  glad  to  talk  about  himself  (  and  no  ,  he  does  not  goes  out  boasting  ego  to  talk  marvelous  stuff  of  himself  )  .  “  Me  ?  Ah  ,  mine  was  quite  a  boring  story  of  life  ...  I’m  just  quite  a  simple  man  .  ”

Never  a  hint  of  downhill  emotion  is  detected  in  his  replies  because  he  was  straight  up  giving  his  honest  answer  .  Not  that  he  wanted  to  destroy  the  wonderful  mood  but  he  couldn’t  think  of  what  could  be  amazing  about  himself  .  He  was  just  some  kind  of  ..  introverted  man  ..  A  loner  type  of  dude  .  “  Y’know  I  would  enjoy  getting  to  know  you  too  as  well  .  ”  Or  exchange  a  stories  of  their  life  ...  Why  does  he  not  even  suggest  of  it  ?!
