Is Avilio/Angelo dead? (Probably a Theory)
There was this part where Avilio woke up (I guess he was taken to the Galassia’s) with bondage covering his back. He asked why he was saved.
Honestly, I was looking for that episode again but then I got lazy.
NERO SHOT HIM FROM BEHIND.
Plus, before Nero shot Avilio, he said
“You don’t need a reason to live. You just live.”
Why didn’t he shot Avilio in the head instead? Because obviously, it’s an instant kill if he did that.
It’s probably because he did not actually mean to kill Avilio but to make him start a new life. With that shot, Avilio will not be awaken most likely for days.
Enough for Avilio to reflect on his life.
But either, Nero still left Avilio which could lead to his death, right?
Because it was just a chance.
If Avilio is still meant to survive, then chances that there would be people who will help him and he could start a new life. Away from revenge and wrath. He doesn’t need a reason to live. He just deserves to live.
Nero figured out that Avilio’s deeds was because of what they did before. Basically showing that everything is his fault anyway. So in order to repay that, he gave Avilio a second chance to live and be happy.
Nero’s trust in Avilio may have shaken but it did not disappeared. Him, letting Avilio still live could mean that he knows that no matter what happens, Avilio would not kill him. After all,
“The reason why I didn’t killed you is because I don’t want to kill you.”
Along their way to the ocean, Nero kept on asking Avilio the reason why he did not killed him. Even though Avilio already told him that he wants Nero to feel the same pain he felt. Nero was hoping. He was hoping that there was still the Avilio that he trusted inside the Avilio who killed all of the people he cares about.
I know some say that Nero smiled because he thought that he won’t do the same mistake as he did when he trusted Avilio.
But in my perspective I saw it this way:
Nero went back to his car after he shot Avilio with a frown. He saw the canned Pineapples the same as what Avilio bought before. It could be that Avilio already knew that Nero might kill him so he left the canned pineapples as his memory to Nero. After all, Avilio is a very intelligent man.
Nero smiled when he saw the canned pineapples, meaning that he really did had a good time with Avilio even if he betrayed him. If I was Nero, I would not smile after I shot a friend of mine even if he betrayed me.
But Nero smiled because he believes that Avilio will have a good life if he did survived.
