“Only In Dreams” © 2010 Throwback to the wettest I’ve ever been hiking. Coming up out of Waimea Canyon during a torrential rain storm, a break in the action just as we finished an extremely strenuous section of trail. The clouds and light were just unbelievable. The short break lasted about 5 minutes before we were engulfed again and then hiked our very wet selves out back to the car. Limited Edition of 100. Artist Proof of 10. “Makaleha” (unreleased) © 2021 When @maxlemaireart calls you up at home and says to grab the camera and head to the mountain…you do just that. While I was a bit late to see the conditions that inspired the phone call I sat there watching the dance of the clouds, light and rain dance around the face of the mountain while the waterfalls poured down in the background. And within a few minutes of being there it was all back in to the cloud again. Magical. “Camper’s Paradise“ **New Release** © 2020 Many years ago while camping with friends out at Polihale State Park I had the chance to photograph the Milky Way arching over the cliffs late one night. Definitely by chance, the photo (Spirits In The Sky), has been in the back of my mind ever since. While my technique has become more refined over the years so has my ability to figure out potential situations. For this image to be possible clouds, moon, time of year all need to align. What I wasnt planning on this particular night (after many attempts over a few year period), was the amount of camper's present in the park. While at first dejected it turns out the added element of the camp fire and lights scattered on the beach give a sense of scale and reality to this surreal looking image! Limited Edition of 30. "Yellow Brick Road" **New Release** © 2020 Arriving to Kalalau...nothing but ripples in the sand, we had the beach to ourselves for over 6 hours.
