Week 4: Continuing with the finger-tap recording from the previous week's project (http://blnd.io/1O1QDuT), I used Live's ability to convert the wavefrom to MIDI notes, to which I assign three different drum-kits during this track, while the original recording also makes its appearance (first damped with the Squishy effect's Gate mode and the Go Mid effect, then later heard in more pure form). I wasn't able to install the Max for Live Essentials pack (as I describe here: https://www.coursera.org/learn/ableton-live/module/Q2nfo/discussions/JAUrJIDmEeWxYwrkXXmVqQ ), but instead I used the Kasio Max Pack (https://www.ableton.com/en/packs/kasio-m4l/) and use its bocpad preset in this track.

Second assignment submission in an Introduction to Ableton Live course.
Planning to polish the project from week 2 ( https://blend.io/bthj/assignment1 ), one thing I did was to tap out a beat with my fingers on the surface of a MacBook Pro, recording it straight into Live with the internal microphone, in an attempt to have some variation to the mechanical beats already there - and we're supposed to be working with audio this week, and I'm not going to sing! But those finger-tapping recordings spawned a project on their own (well, still actually in the same project, just later on the timeline in the arrengement view). Feeling that something in the spirit of the "Big beat" style might fit on top of this, a search led me to the song sampled in "Block Rockin' Beats" by The Chemical Brothers ( http://www.whosampled.com/sample/30264/The-Chemical-Brothers-Block-Rockin'-Beats-Bernard-Purdie-Changes/ ), which I dropped into Live, where it was quite joyful to arrange into sample loops, which I slam onto the track on two occasions - think it works pretty good.
