"Izumi, I forbid you for taking care of Kouichi's wounds again! Every hit he takes, he deserves!" *eternallordlucemon*
"Uh...y-yes, my lord."
"Izumi, can we talk?" ~controlledlight
"âŚFine." Kouji was off-putting, quite frankly. He never spoke, he obeyed so well, soâmechanically, almost.
"How? Iâm supposed to leave in an hour. With Kouichi." Surely he understood his brother was wrong in the head since being revived. Heâd readily obey Lucemonâs every request, and there was no way she was getting out of this one. It wasnât something she had the stomach for, but the alternativeâafter releasing Kouji, she fingered the collar around her neck, pupils dilated with dear.
"I-Iâll try to think of something." if he didnât then he had failed her. He wanted her to trust him though- so they could get the others help and do something useful instead of playing killers and slaves. They were Warriors and they had nearly killed the being that  ruled them before- they had been so close and yet they were so far. He put his head down âWe need the others to help us though- and those we do not help we at least need their Spirits.â he was willing to do anything to get those Spirits too. It may have been cruel but he could not watch the Worlds suffer for much longer.
"I wish you thinking was fast enough to prevent this," she said sadly, taking another step back from him. "And as far as the others go--well, I haven't spoken to anyone until this week, remember? I don't know if anyone else is willing, so I'll leave that to you. I do know Ranamon won't be." Bitterness crept into her tone. It wasn't that she wanted praise for her beauty, but the Warrior of Water and her pretentious attitude did little to win Izumi's respect. "Just...what does everyone else even do around here?"
He was going to retort that he knew full well of that certain pain, but kept his mouth shut, instead, narrowing his blazing gaze at her face, ready to strike.
Takuya couldnât stand her bickering, Izumi had to be taught something. He was the teacher, for her lesson in doing the right thing. She had to, of course, if she wanted to stay alive.
A palm slapped to the wall beside her, and Takuya stalked toward the Wind Warrior. She was going to regret talking as she didâŚ.a lot.
Izumi couldn't keep her body from flinching back as the sharp sound of his palm hit her ears, but she held still, cheeks burning in fearful embarrassment.
She knew Takuya had changed, sure, but she'd avoided him for so long, she couldn't say for sure what he was capable of. For some reason, Izumi had a feeling she was about to find out.
Turning her head away, a small smile touched her lips. "What, am I going to be punished for my insolence? Usually it's someone else who does that."
He let go of her hair, sighing, âThere is no fun in beating an already whipped dog.â He brushed her hair back down, âYou used to have more fight in you. Now, letâs hurry. Before you fail this mission and I have to kill another of my.. âfriendsâ.â
Kouichi didnât have friends, but he knew he was the person who often executed people if they betrayed his lord. He did so just to serve his lord, nothing more, nothing less. It was needless to say he wasnât afraid of killing his former friends.
Her back stiffened at his comment, eyes narrowing as she tried to resist the urge to scream at him. "I'm not a whipped dog," she finally muttered, voice filled with venom.
And he was not the Kouichi she once knew.
Still, she walked on in silence, head down and heart pounding at the thought of what she was about to be forced to do.
Kouichi laid unconscious near the castle, blood still pouring from his side. His skin was paler than normal.
She'd stepped outside to get some air, relieved to breathe once she escaped the castle's stuffy halls, only to find a body laying nearby. Izumi sighed, almost certain one of the boys had dumped a victim they didn't feel like disposing of, leaving it her responsibility to rid the grounds of yet another corpse. However, drawing closer, her eyes widened. It was Kouichi, pale and dripping blood. She rushed to his side, pressing her palm against the wound to staunch the bleeding.

She stumbled back with a short cry, eyes watering at the unexpected pain. âT-Takuya, enoughâŚâ she said weakly. A few weeks ago she may have snapped his head off for doing such a thing to her, but fighting just made her tired, so, so tiredâŚ
"Youâre too soft, you know that?!" He snapped, unamused by her weak reply. He cuffed her head, sighing and crossing his arms. "You gonna go work or am I gonna have to drag you? I wonât be gentle."
"Maybe I'm just tired of being dragged by the hair," she spat back, a bit of fire returning to her eyes. "You boys know jack shit about how painful that is." Wise? Hardly. But until recently she'd never put up with Takuya's crap, and old habits died hard.
He saw her, meandering where she shouldn't. Walking over, he yanked on her blond hair. "You should be cleaning Izumi, you aren't cut out for Lord Lucemon's tasks so you're cleaning the rooms."

Hey, don't shoot the messenger!
"Well you're an awfully insensitive messenger."
Hey, murdering someone isn't that bad. Besides, you have a decent teacher. Could have been worse. You could have teamed up with Takuya.
"Could have been worse doesn't make it any better!" she said, voice raised. "Just because Kouichi isn't as bad as Takuya doesn't help the situation. And you clearly have no conscience if you think murdering someone 'isn't that bad.'"
Did it hurt when you fell from heaven? ;D
"Sorry, I'm not interested." Not now and not ever, not with that sort of overused pickup line.
Izumi, does it hurt when you get shocked?
"...Yes." How could it not? That was the point.

His eyes narrowed and he grabbed her hair, âWhat was that?â He felt angry, his eyes showing something dark in them. Something.. like a murderer. He yanked her hair back hard, âAnswer me, Izumi!â
A short yelp escaped her before she bit her tongue, squeezing her eyes shut tight to keep the tears from escaping as she was dragged backwards. Mistake, she'd made a mistake. "I-It's nothing! I'm sorry! Kouichi, please!"
He nodded, âIâll walk behind you. That way, we wonât have to keep ourselves exposed.â He began to walk behind her, âIzumi.. do you ever wonder if something went horribly wrong in the past?â That thought was often on his mind at night, âI mean.. what if something horrible went wrong when it shouldnât have?â
He looked down at her, âDonât ask why Iâm asking you this, alright?â
...Or so he could be certain she didn't bolt. "Right."
She paused her steps for a moment at the question, quickly stumbling to resume walking. "I won't. I...yes, Kouichi. But I don't have to wonder. I know something went horribly wrong. It wasn't supposed to be this way. We weren't supposed to--"
Dare she say more? Did she want to risk the possibility that he was asking to report back to Lucemon? If that was the case, she'd already said far too much.
