₩ our muses are caught in a thunder storm together
Artemis pulled her hoodie over her head at the first sign of rain, desperately trying to keep her hair from getting wet. It took forever to dry her thick locks. She ran to hide under one of the stores awnings, swiftly escaping the rain. Arty would have to just wait it out, seeing as Ollie’s place was a long walk away and she sure didn’t want to get sick.
She noticed a girl walk out of the store and she softly spoke, trying to joke about the weather. “You might want to use an umbrella if you have one.” Artemis was never one for starting conversation with strangers, she was too shy and awkward when it came to that, but she had to kill time somehow.
"Yeah, it sure is." Artemis glanced down both ends of the street. "I didn’t recall anyone mentioning the thunder storm on the news." She was irritated that the weathermen never got their job right. If she had a warning she would not be stranded here for so long.
"It will be a while until it decides to blow over." She pulled the hoodie further over her face. The cold breeze was quite disturbing. "I’ll probably go over to the library for a while."
{ ♕ } News? That was on those big boxes, right? It gave information to the inheritance here, though not in a particularly timely manner. Her home had 'news' that was much, much faster. Perhaps the humans had not evolved the mental capacity for such as of yet?
"Bothersome," the darker-haired girl chirped, turning her eyes upwards to watch the rain fall. How was she going to get anywhere now? Deseray supposed she could go out in the rain, but what if it was like being submerged? That was a risk she did not want to take.
. . . The others' words pulled her back to the here and now, her mind working to decipher what had been said. 'Blow over' was not a slang term she yet knew, so the girl chose to ignore it all together, focusing on the next thing the blonde had said.
"Library?"
