Hello! My name is Katie Innamorato (Afterlife Anatomy) and I am a rogue taxidermist and a member of M.A.R.T. or the Minnesota Association of Rogue Taxidermists. Currently a Taxidermist in Residence at the Morbid Anatomy Museum in Brooklyn NY, and a traveling taxidermy teacher. I create artwork using roadkill, donated/gifted, and found or scrap animal parts. My work has been featured on the hit TV show "Oddities," more recently on the TV show "Odd Folks Home," and has exhibited at La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles, CA. By using recycled items, either from roadkill or rejected skins, I am respecting the animal and giving new life to something that otherwise would have been thrown away or forgotten. This is the principle I stand behind when I am creating something. I have a passion for breathing new life into things that most people would not think twice about using. They are illegal in most states, smell like skunk and cat pee, need lined top and bottom enclosures, specialized vets, expensive food with a raw diet, and like all exotics are nearly always impossible to rehome. No, in general foxes do not like to cuddle or be held at all or very often. They are not domestic in the same way cats or dogs are, they are more so tame and learn to tolerate people. Even the Russian ones are not exactly like dogs. Domestic house cats aren't even fully domesticated, they just learned to live with us. Exotic animals are a huge responsibility and most people cannot even properly care for their domestic cats and dogs. #yesiamgoingtopostthiseverydamntimeitsimportant
