They are illegal in most states, smell like skunk and cat pee, need lined top and bottom enclosures, specialized vets, expensive food with a raw diet, and like all exotics are nearly always impossible to rehome. No, in general foxes do not like to cuddle or be held at all or very often. They are not domestic in the same way cats or dogs are, they are more so tame and learn to tolerate people. Even the Russian ones are not exactly like dogs. Domestic house cats aren't even fully domesticated, they just learned to live with us. Exotic animals are a huge responsibility and most people cannot even properly care for their domestic cats and dogs.

Banjo is a prime example of this; from being rescued from the idiot kid who originally had him, to me donating him and doing what was best for him, to now where he is again in a safe environment. I cannot believe this has happened. The exotics and pet fox community is shaken up over this right now. Poor Vader was wrongfully taken from his loving family and killed because of a false report and an officer not following proper protocol. Please share this and sign this petition to help bring justice for Vader. This is fucking disgusting and disheartening. After living with a fox for several months I know how quickly and deeply they change our lives. My heart goes out to Tara and family, and of course little Vader. Who's a good fox? Skitter is, she'a very good fox, so cute, so intelligent and well, she knows how to make the best faces to express her contentment and love for attention!  So much fluff and cuteness are almost too much for me to take lol!

I saw Skitter this morning and she was an absolute doll if not very hyper (as usual) lol. She’s so fluffy now that her winter coat is almost in, and was very excited to see me, trying to take my wallet and untie my shoelaces. She missed me a lot and I missed her too, so very sweet <3 <3
